Welcoming this extremely established and talented artist who has stepped slightly outside his usual realm to deliver RC a tailor made project. Hailing from Hamburg, Germany minimal techno maestro Lampè brings you his Sunset Avenue EP.

The soundscapes that are introduced in Sunset Avenue depict just that, a vast desert landscape, a sunset spread across a futuristic backdrop. A true testament to his ability is the quality of the elements introduced; balanced, clear and precise making your ears prick up at every little twist and turn.

Untrue Things, the b-side monster doesn't stop there, sharp synthesis growls and intense progression make you feel as if your stuck in an apocalyptic wasteland.

Included in this release are a string of remixes, Bongani takes Sunset Avenue on a melodic journey, Boy With Boy brings some grit and grime to Untrue Things and a stripped back, low slung version of Sunset Avenue from Slowtekk.

Somersault's growth as an artist is something worthy of attention and documentation - hence, "Euphotic". The euphotic zone is the top layer of the ocean exposed to enough light for photosynthesis to occur. "Euphotic" represents the growth of new life. Lifting up your submerged head, the sun gleaming through the last centimetres of water.

Sunlight insufficient for photosynthesis barely illuminates the disphotic zone. "Disphotic" delves deeper toward the ocean floor, pummelled through the darkness with minimalistic progressive layers.

Our unique range of talented remixers are connected by this monstrous ocean; Ariose (Scotland) create colour through a melodic jaunt that is their translation of "Euphotic"; Matt Dwellers (France/Australia) takes "Disphotic" into his hands, returning a moody deep techno interpretation; Dan Baartz (Australia/Indonesia) twists "Disphotic" into a strong minimal, tribal groove.

The release as a whole represents the deeper side of Bassic Records experimentation with tech and house, connecting global talents on a platform for unlimited expression.

A random funky tech jam from the depths of my hard drive, it's pretty quirky and strange but was a lot of fun to write at the time. 
Looking back this track was a pretty pivotal change for me musically, shifting my focus from psytrance to deeper progressive techno vibes and eventually moving to Melbourne to pursue new avenues and projects.
