In typically thrilling form, Tiger Stripes returns for his annual outing on Drumcode. 

His ‘Rocket’ EP was conceived during the pandemic as the Swede busied himself with paternity leave and taking care of his little tiger. During these fulfilling stretches of time, the pair immersed themselves in everything from Aphex Twin to Kelly Lee Owens and Yazoo, while at other times the Spotify playlists Electronic Rising and Altar would frequently soundtrack their playtime. The producer took this spirit with him into the studio, aiming to harness the positive energy of his reference points and combine it with his signature brand of multi-faceted techno.

He has quickly established himself as a key player amongst a new crop of techno artists and truly is one of the brightest stars in the game. His skills behind the decks have seen him tour the globe with Cocoon, as well as appear at the likes of elrow, Lovefest and We Are FSTVL.

Opening with ‘Times’, the EP gets off to a flying start as the track rages straight into top gear, rolling through 6 minutes of pure power. This is a peak time tool that is set to be heard across dance floors worldwide this year. ‘Awakened’ you may have heard from Adam Beyer’s sets of late, a firm favourite which gets his much sought after seal of approval. Rampant syths and mesmerizing vocal hooks all make it one hell of a journey. ‘Sense’ is a more industrial affair, chunky basslines take your hand through the track as it charges on. Benjamin Henley Saubidet, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2000, is a passionate techno DJ and producer with a flair for creating captivating, dance-driven soundscapes infused with melancholic undertones. His journey into electronic music took off after finishing school, where he quickly immersed himself in the industry, investing in his craft and shaping a style all his own.

Guided early on by Drumcode artist Nicolas Taboada, who selected him for DJ Mag's inaugural techno compilation, Benjamin’s career gained momentum. His signature sound stands out with meticulously crafted stabs, growls, and FX, showcasing his dedication to sound design and originality.

Now signed to prominent labels like Set About, IAMT Red, Nova Collective and more, Benjamin Henley Saubidet continues to carve a unique path in techno, pushing the boundaries of emotional and rhythmic depth with every track.
