This is a freely interpretated Remix of the track "A Walk Through Your Head" by the metal band "Remnant of Idyll" of my friend 7oi8. 

I quote these notes from his remix of my metal track as they are pretty lovely: 

"This track is rather a recreation than a remix. In summer 2015 Benjamin Düster and I discussed his idea of creating a remix, or rather build up a whole new song, just by sampling a metal song of one another. So Ben provided me with a track he developed years ago, I gave him a track of my former band 'Remnant of Idyll' in return, in which I used to play the guitar.

The task for us should be to use that given song as the only source to sample from. Do not use any other external material, except you get really stuck.
The task sounded quite promising for us in different ways. First of all it could serve as a great exercise (sampling out of a metal- song turned out to be a pain in the ass) and it's exciting to see, what one gets out of each others track. But foremost: sampling is quite a topic in electronic music and other genres, as well its discussed in terms of new musical concepts and legal issues. Some might say that sampling describes some act of plagiarism. Now in this case, even though I sampled from Bens track, it is quite difficult to claim that I stole from him, as you will notice."
