Our first release of 2016 is a highly anticipated EP from SNR, the acclaimed Bay Area-based producer and DJ. Previously featured on "Arrival 02" and "Silk Royal Showcase 05", the three anthemic cuts that comprise this release are finally available in unmixed form.

Quite early in its progression, "Limbo" sets the euphoric tone of SNR's release, in general. A stadium-rocking groove is punctuated by a thrilling chord sequence, while a variety of other melodic and even vocal flourishes further enhance the soundscape. The breakdown features an extremely innovative, funky, and exhilarating new lead -- one that clearly demonstrates the artist's deft experience at moving the dancefloor.

The subsequent cut, "Umami", is equally radiant and club-oriented. Centering on an uplifting vocal motif, the song develops into a peak-hour stormer, courtesy of a thunderous bassline and neon-tinged lead.

Closing out the EP, a 'Deep' take on the aforementioned "Limbo" proves to be one of SNR's most intricate and unique compositions to date. A subterranean bassline immediately grounds the remix in deeper terrain, as does the heavily filtered, yet emotive piano theme. In the breakdown, we are treated to the inspiring melodic motifs of the original mix; yet, just as we anticipate an explosion of energy, the song refreshingly reverts back to a smooth, after-hours groove. All in all, SNR's EP is a veritable master class in intelligent, uplifting, and DJ-centered electronic music production.

2015 was another great year for us and we are starting 2016
with a bang! 

We proudly present to all of you Rick Tedesco's debut album, 'Keihatsu'. 'Keihatsu' means enlightenment in Japanese, and it perfectly describes what this album is all about.

Rick who hails from Texas, USA, has been a prominent fixture
in the Breaks genre since 2012, he has releases on imprints
such as Morphosis, Mistique, Elliptical Sun, OLD Sql, Base
Industry and Break Wind to name a few.

Lately he has been venturing into other genres such as Deep
House and Progressive House under his moniker RZN8.

This 12 track album showcases Rick's versatility as an electronic
music producer in the genres of Breaks, Chillout, Deep House, Drum & Bass, Nu Disco, Progressive House.

2015 has been a good year for us here at Pineapple Grooves and we are turning 
1 year old this month of January 2016. We start off the new year and we bring 
back PG regular UK house producer, Another Ambition, with his EP, 'Different Days'. 

The original mix was released last year and was supported by Above & Beyond twice 
in their Group Therapy podcasts, and we add more flavours to the original mix with 
remixes from Japanese deep house producer Kiwamu, Ronfoller & Ahmed Suleymanov who 
both hail from Azerbaijan, and to top it off, Another Ambition reworked his original 
into a proper liquid drum & bass version.

Different Days (Original Mix)

Deep house vibes are all present in this original "Different Days" mix by Another 
Ambition. Tropical drums and bass gallop about off step to each other, accompanied 
by piano chords and a few choice select sounds that turn this into a discotech hit.

Different Days (Another Ambition's Trip to Mirror City VIP)

The "Trip to Mirror City VIP" is a surefire smasher, a hot fire drum set spitting 
loudly over warbling basslines inside the magic that is this drum and bass version of 
Another Ambition's "Different Days".

Different Days (Kiwamu Remix)

PD resident Kiwamu gets funky and futuristic with a deep-progressive rendition of 
"Different Days". Cool squares pluck in almost parabolic form to the beat with sexy 
synths rising and falling in perfect harmony.

Different Days (Ronfoller & Ahmed Suleymanov Remix)

Ronfoller & Ahmed Suleymanov complete the "Different Days" EP with deep-seated, 
bass-heavy, driving sound that stays on full throttle. Rare aural treasures are 
abound in this remix, as well as the tracks in this captivating EP.

US-based producer SineRider presents his first original EP on Silk Music. Entitled "Twilight", this release features 7 new tracks, as well as a well-known remix of Shingo Nakamura.

Kicking off the release is "Together", featuring blissful melodies and subtle bassline notes in the background. Beautiful pads emerge later, the continuous variation of which renders this cut a melodic masterpiece. A soft piano line introduces "Multiply", which is later accompanied by lush synths and breathtaking melodies. A stunning breakbeat adds delicious texture later in the song. The title track, "Twilight", features stunning and dreamy rhodes melodies and subtle percussion elements in the background. Later, numerous pad layers create a hypnotizing atmosphere. In "South", an otherworldly soundscape is quickly established, which features mesmerizing pads, breathtaking melodies, and incredibly well-crafted percussion lines. "A Self Portrait" includes a unique piano lead with delicate pad lines, as well as subtle bassline notes beneath for additional texture. A beautiful piano melody introduces "To Care When No One Else Does", and fascinating pad layers emerge later. In the second half of the song, an elegant guitar line showcases new harmonies. As the last original track on this release, "In The Spring" takes off with hypnotizing piano melodies and soothing pad layers. Captivating synths and outstanding melodies are added as the song progresses. Previously featured on Silk Music in mixed form on Only Silk 03, SineRider's remix of Shingo Nakamura's "Hakodate" is now available in full length. In July 2015, acclaimed British artist and current "Only Silk" radio co-host Universal Solution showcased his blissful "Pressure Point / Luquan" EP on Silk Music. 6 months later, we are proud to present three fresh remixes of "Pressure Point". On remix detail are long-time Silk contributors Lessov (Canada) and Marsh (UK).

Lessov's remix takes off with a delicious atmosphere, including soothing percussion lines and intriguing pad layers in the background. Soon, smooth bassline notes enter the mix, as well as delicate and mysterious sound effects.

In Marsh's 'Prog' remix, a hypnotic groove is quickly established, featuring intricate percussion elements and subtle melodic layers. In the break, countless intriguing sounds are at play, as well as haunting female vocal stems.

A rather mesmerizing atmosphere is introduced in Marsh's 'Deep' remix. Numerous outstanding percussion layers and sound effects form a brilliant listening experience, while the main theme lead from the original keeps lurking in the background throughout the song.
