Kicking off the EP, Dezza delivers the deliciously deep and sensual "True," a late-night anthem with an impossibly infectious groove. Fresh off his hit remix of Vintage & Morelli's "Desire," which was supported on radio by Above & Beyond, Dezza continues to craft emotive and layered, yet club-friendly compositions, a niche that he has truly mastered in his decade-long career. We affectionally welcome back Swedish virtuoso Claes Rosen, one of the very first artists to sign with our imprint, for a characteristically melodic and sun-kissed take on Justin Oh's classic, "Good Morning." Summer-flavored instrumentation and a buoyant, yet chilled house groove unite to create an uplifting soundscape. Globally recognized progressive house artist and fellow Silk veteran Espen follows suit with "So Blue," an atmospheric, after-hours gem. Evocative, cinematic textures permeate the other-worldly soundscape from start to finish. Closing out the release, esteemed Irish veteran Shane Robinson submerges the listener into even deeper terrain with "Crystalline," which centers on a cavernous groove and moody, if not foreboding, pads.

Since their Anjunadeep debut in 2014 with ‘You Would / Mad Dog’, Thomas Schwartz & Fausto Fanizza have delivered a steady stream of consistent and quality club ready cuts including the notable ‘Kirk’, ‘Circles’ and most recently ‘Dawn To Dusk’, a definitive highlight from last years iTunes dance #1 album 'Anjunadeep 07’.

As well as becoming firm favourites with the Anjuna fanbase, the Italian duo's distinctive brand of uplifting and emotive house has won them support from industry tastemakers such as BBC Radio 1’s Annie Mac. Returning with their most extensive release to date, Schwartz & Fanizza deliver 4 classy productions in the form of the ‘Rea EP’.

Opening the package the first of two collaborations with vocalist Susie Ledge, ‘Secret Place’ fuses surging low-end with cascading melodies and wistful lyrics. Next up in rolling balearic style is ‘Voices’ featuring trademark Schwartz & Fanizza chords. ‘I Can’t Be Found’ also features Susie Ledge’s delicate vocals, above an evocative xylophone riff and atmospheric bass grooves. Rounding off the Ep, title track ‘Rea’ is a prime example of their warm sound, packed with harmonic depth and soulful flair, blending chopped vocal samples and shuffling percussion.

Hailing from The Netherlands, Manu Zain contributes yet another mesmerizing release to Silk Music with "Entrainment Pt. 1." Each track is an invitation to wonder and reflect, entrancing us with delicate textures, sublime melodies, and profound atmosphere that is full of both yearning and joy.

As the first track of Manu Zain's EP, "Entrainment Pt. 1," "Stay Close" (feat. Patrick Baker) envelopes listeners and compels us to enter another world. Patrick Baker's vocals lilt upon a minimal backdrop of echoing drums and atmospheric pads, progressing through a spectrum of tones and emotions that are equal parts melancholic and consoling. "Ocean Drive" opens with harmonic synths, subdued arpeggiators and choral pads that frame the track as blissful departure from the ordinary. It's made all the more uplifting when Manu Zain seamlessly introduces a four-on-the-floor rhythm that drives the euphoric sounds to ever greater heights. "Will You Be There" sets its sights beyond the horizon as delicate bells, angelic synth layers and the organic chords of an acoustic guitar fill the listener with wonder. To conclude part one of his "Entrainment" release, Manu Zain constructs a serene environment full of texture and melody with "Berlin." Relying only on the dynamics of composition and atmosphere, the track offers a restorative intermission not only from the uplifting rhythms found elsewhere in the EP, but also between the world we know and the one that Manu Zain is revealing.

We already look forward to hearing where Manu Zain takes us in "Entrainment Pt. 2" when it releases later this year.

Material and Definition: Music producers Piemont make a timely return to UK imprint Toolroom this month making an appearance on club focused sub-label Toolroom Trax for the brand new venture. The boys provide a solid contribution to ‘Trax Vol.1′, which is a freshly created concept album series launched via the imprint that showcases the spectrum of sound that the label is now renowned for. The ethos of the label is simply straight up club tracks, made by DJ’s for DJ’s on the underground Tech House and Techno circuit.  Well, you’re in for a right treat today as we showcase an exclusive track from the release in the form of  ‘Wake Up’ – an irresistible cut with awesome energy and a lush groove. Latvian producer and sound engineer, Puremusic, enlightens us listeners once again with his latest work, "Serenades Of The Night" -- his fourth album to be released with Silk Music. Ambitious and inspiring, the album explores the significance of love, romance, twilight contemplation, and the wonder of nature to create a sweeping, evocative body of work that grows deeper with each listen.

As the first track of Puremusic's latest album, "Serenades Of The Night," "Twilight" steeps us into a world of wondrous tones and textures. "No Fairy Tales" builds from a few simple elements such as finger-style bass, reverberating drums and echoing arpeggiators to become a fully enveloping atmosphere the carries us away. Delicate textures, resonating piano and evocative melodies sweep in and out of "Closer," each element arriving as a gentle wave that takes us deeper and deeper into Puremusic's wonderful soundscape. "Born To Love" couples the nostalgia of an acoustic guitar with the wonder of coastal sounds to place us on the shoreline of bliss. In "Tatchi," Puremusic's masterful control of sound transforms the old-world tones of a Japanese koto into something wholly new, adding a touch of fantasy to an already ambitious atmosphere. "Kama" sits as an inspiring prologue that transitions into the album's seventh track, "Reach It." Layers of percussive elements open "Reach It" and establish a foundation upon which Puremusic creates an exotic, otherworldly tune that transports us to a different time. Celestial tones appear and withdraw upon a canvas of sound in "Warmth," a meditative interlude that sets the tone for the more contemplative tracks that close out Puremusic's latest album, "Serenades Of The Night." True to its title, Puremusic's distinctive sound engineering makes "Creation" a perfect sonic companion for watching the dawn of the universe, or for simply relaxing on a summer's eve with someone special. "Pour l'Amour" features a reverberating solo piano whose chords inspire quiet reminiscence. "Dawn" closes out Puremusic's latest album, "Serenades Of The Night," on a bright, elated note.

Five years ago, we were introduced to the music of American composer Dan Sieg, who, at the time, was producing under the banner of "Dan & Sam." There are typically only a few newcomers to our musical niche each year who completely awe us with their talent; Dan was truly one of those artists. The demo in question was "Breaking The Illusion," which we ultimately released in October 2012. It quickly became a fan favorite that year and remains one of our most beloved releases, in our label's decade-long existence.

Flashing forward to the present: we have now had the privilege of working with Dan on numerous releases. Choosing to use his given name and surname, "Dan Sieg," in recent years to showcase his eclectic, distinct, and always visionary brand of electronic music, he has now released an artist album with us ("A Sense Of Wonder"), as well as various EPs, ranging in genre from drum & bass to progressive house. It's our great privilege to showcase his wonderful musical contributions to our imprint via "Dan Sieg / Dan & Sam 01," an artist retrospective.
