Los Angeles native producer and artist, Benjamin "Hameen" Moore (“Hameen,” a nickname that stuck when a friend translated Benjamin into Spanish during a school field trip) has been making music since he was a baby.  Upon waking hours, his mother would observe him smiling and quietly humming in his crib.  As a preteen, Hameen started music groups with his sister and neighborhood best friends. The “MC Mini Mites”, as they called themselves, began performing for family and neighbors, combining songs Hameen created and dance steps the group developed, purely for the joy they found in music.  His love for music has always been a passion he not only felt in his heart and soul, but heard within himself for as long as he can remember.  His goal in producing these tracks is to provide you with a unique but classic experience.  Hameen has been influenced by a variety of music over the years, from listening to Chaka Khan and the Gap Band with his mom, to New Edition and Prince with his older brother. Thanks to his mother, he grew up spending many nights listening to classical and jazz performances at the Hollywood Bowl.  As a preteen, he changed a family tradition of listening to classical music while preparing for sleep to listening to Sade.  In middle school and high school, he was exposed to Hip Hop, R & B, big band and many other genres of music, thanks to the eclectic melting pot at Westchester High School in Los Angeles.  During his college years at Fisk University in Nashville, he was deejay for Fisk’s local radio station “WFSK 88.1” and co-produced the “Neo Soul Flow Show”, as well as many other Hip Hop and Jazz programs for the station.  He was amazed by the talent of Lionel Hampton when he and his mother witnessed one of his last performances and has also been greatly influenced by Marvin Gaye, John Coltrane, and Jimi Hendrix.  The wealth and variety of sounds throughout his life have meshed together in this album to cultivate his current eclectic sound, a sound that will continue to change, evolve, and adapt through the mosaic emotions of life’s inspirational experiences.
