HAFS (standing for Hate At First Sight) is a hard techno DJ from Brussels. He grew up playing acoustic jazz and classical music and slowly decided to change to techno deejaying from 2017. Together with his father Candido Capilla, he also runs a mariachi band bringing together various talented latin-variety musicians coming from all around Belgium.

His sets are harsh, full of drums, passionate and dark. The styles are most of the time mental and industrial. HAFS was headliner of the Dark Cube edition of last September in Liege. He has played in various raves like Monasterio (Moscow), LaMonarch (Paris), Rumba & Co (Leuven) or LBAT collective (Lille). Production wise, HAFS kicked off this year with his new release « Bunker Whistle »  now out on Insane Industry.

Inveterate fan of grooves, hard kicks and drums, HAFS offers us one hour of frenzied industrial techno set.

Younger I chooses to play percussions when I was 11 and I did for several years and had a music knowledge formation from a music school too.
I first chooses to play drums ,xylophone and timpani.
But than when I was 13 I discovered other genres and an other way to make music and it was the computer-assisted music.
Than I discovered my orientation for making electronic music but, I still love every kind of genres but most of all kinds of musics; from classical to hard music.
 even electronic or acoustic music.
 like; muse ,Metallica,slipknot, nirvana,red hot chilli peppers, ac/dc,Marilyn Manson,bring me the horizon,green day,iron maiden,bullet for my valentine, Michael Jackson’s and even French singers like: michel Fugain ,Charles aznavour, and from anywhere else in the world like: ABBA, Eminem, 50 cent ,missy elliot, nothorious big, lil peep , the week end ,yungblud ,gohstemane,suicideboys etc…
I sometimes listen to hardcore music but that was just a phase in my life and I still listen to it sometimes.
But I rater  listen and make  drum and bass and dubstep from every kind of genres. Because I like this kind of drums
Since I discovered it.
I have my sound design influences from :skrillex, zomboy,
Knife party, Nero, Datsik , Rusko, zeds dead, excision, chrispy, koan sound
And most of the artists from ukf dubstep because it is my favorite label since 15 years.
I also like drum and bass and I found inspiration for drum and bass in the music made by; pendulum , noisia, koan sound, sub focus,dillinja,
I think I have dnb and dubstep for favorite because I was a child seeing his mom mixing dnb when I was a little boy and it maid me discover this genre when I was very joung.
