Here's a quick demo of Van Halen's "Somebody Get Me a Doctor".  Disclaimer:  I apologize up front for what I feel is a sloppy performance.  I wasn't all that warmed up and the entire guitar track was done in one take.  The guitar's delay tempo is probably a bit off.  I played a 2008 Fender Telecaster through my "Axe FX Ultra" by Fractal Audio Systems.  It uses stock speaker cabinet IR's and was recorded direct.  I liked it enough to just keep it and then throw some backing vocals on there, as well.  The only thing missing is the lead vocals, which I may or may not bother to record.  Perhaps this can be my Karaoke audio version.  Anyway, as always, I welcome feedback or constructive criticism.

Somebody Get Me a Doctor - Van Halen

I had fun recording this today.  It's obviously a cover of Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Pride and Joy".  "The guitar" is just one guitar (Fender telecaster) played through an Axe FX Ultra by Fractal Audio Systems.  I recorded the guitar direct.  I had the stereo enhancer turned on with default settings.  I believe the amp sim used was the Matchless Chieftain.  i believe I also had a drive pedal sim in front of that.  And, the cabinet IR's were stock.  ...possibly one of the Fender Twin varieties?  Anyway, forgive my vocals.  And, i realize that the guitar parts are not exact in places.  I recorded this quickly.  I don't sing like Stevie Ray Vaughan, but didn't want to do another one of these with no vocals.

Pride and Joy - Stevie Ray Vaughan

I had fun with this one today. Please forgive the cheesy banjo and violin sounds, which I had to perform on a keyboard. Oh, and I am NOT a country music singer by any stretch. Having said that, I had a good time with it. The guitar solos were improvised in 1 take. I suppose that they could have been more melodic. Anyway, the guitars were a Fender telecaster through a Fractal Audio Systems "Axe FX Ultra" (Matchless Chieftain amp sim through a Mesa Recto cabinet IR) - recorded direct (FRFR).

Everlasting Dance

This is a test with me playing all of the guitars on this instrumental version of Finger Eleven's "Paralyzer".  All guitars are recorded with a 2008 Fender Telecaster through my Axe FX Ultra.  The Axe FX was recorded direct with no post-processing.  All guitar sounds are made directly from the Axe FX.  Only stock cabinet IR's were used on this recording.  The drums and bass are from a drum and bass backing track made by drumandbasstracks.com.
