Yearning For Dark Shadows (Instrumental Cover)

This song is again a Starwars fan art composition. Inspired by the planet Korriban (later known as Moriband) in SWTOR, but heavily influenced by the structure and orchestration concepts and tonality of "Anthem of Evil" by John Williams from the Rise of Skywalker OST.  One of my favorite William's pieces of all time!(even with his missive back catalogue)

Korriban Was Forgotten

Third Star Wars study track. Delving into Fanfares for this one. The form and structure is inspired heavily(aka stolen)from the finale and credits of "IV : A New Hope", but the melodic material is mostly influenced by Copeland's brilliant "Fanfare for the Common Man" (taking influence from William's influences). Starting with a scene change entering into the bare fanfare, followed by a romantic theme that uses some influence from the fanfare melody. Finally, an orchestrated version of the fanfare to truly feel galaxy-level grand!

Theme and Variations on "Farmer in the Dell"

This is another school project with a film and some music theory requirements that seemed to clash, but it all worked out in the end.

Troubled Waters

Another school Assignment scored to the opening credits of an old film called "Buster and Billie". Looked to some 60's and 70's folk inspiration.

School Assignment to a space age themed 1960s Chrysler Commercial. So a bit of jazz and brass and nice twinkly star sounds!

12 Tone Serial piece written using Schoenberg's magic box, but I did intentionally seek out some tonal centers - against the style. The Tone Row was F, E, G, B, C, Eb Db, Gb, Bb, Ab, A, D. Definitely fit for the 70's psycho thriller feel.

Memory Instead Of A View

Final Project for Theory and Composition 4 scored to a really fun action sequence with a baby and mother dragon.

A Young Dragon of Withered Heath

This was an assignment to rescore the trailer to the 2004 movie "Troy". Very fun, intense, and helpful lesson on working with a trailer.

Scored for a film clip occurring in a sort of modern war scenario. The intensity and timeline really asked for a electronic score. Looked to the score from "The Hurt Locker" for some inspiration.

Hostages

A piece exploring the mystery of Melchizedek and the beauty of Christ and the spotless lamb who died to be our high priest. Genesis 14, Psalm 110, and Hebrews 5 - 7 are the sections in the piece (pauses between each).

A common mix of light suspense and jokes found in comedies. Some pauses for punchlines and the like.

Eavesdropping

Two Finale scenes from the Creative Commons movie "Spring" re-scored (for the millionth time I know), but it came out well.

A big section of action and excitement from "Shadowbinder Vol. 1 - Dreamfall: Whisper of the Sister Moons" by Victor De Almeida.

Dreamfall Action

The melodic layer to a game loop system. It can play over an synth based background, or it can stand starkly alone for calmer points of the map.

Cold Clear Day (Explore)

An old class project that was left half done - Finally wrapped it up and finished the score. It moves very quickly between different moods and environments, but is tied together with two main themes.
