J-Me Griffiths (Ex Hybrid) & Dr SJ's music roots stem from, Oldschool hardcore rave to early Electro Street sounds compilations. Not forgetting new music styles such as house and breakbeat. The original idea of the X-Ray project came to life while going through an old-school/rave playlist. We chopped up the main parts of one of our favourite classics from X-Ray Experiments take no chance. This track was a massive influence for us from the raving days while DJ’ing 91-92 era. We approached Steve Rutter who was the original producer and asked if we could sample his classic. He agreed and gave us the thumbs up. So, we proudly present an epic, melodic, progressive breaks remix. And a guest mix from the legendary Shades of Rhythm. Plus, a fresh Rework from Dr SJ / Orbit. Also, a very cool tech breaks mix from Ben Dickeson. And a cheeky radio edit.

1. X-Ray (Original Mix)
The production on this is really cool, fresh and original sounding, yet it carries the essence of the 92 version in all the right places. Proper progressive breaks that will take you on a dancefloor journey!

2. X-Ray (Shades of Rhythm Remix)
Legendary rave masters deliver a stunning break/house classic Full of uplifting emotion generated from those big piano chords, sensual vocal sections and menacing rave stabs. Old school vs NuSkool at its finest!

3. X-Ray (Dr SJ / Orbit Rework)
This mix is a cool stripped-back rework, more of a dub. Fewer strings, clean vocals and creative affected ear candy in all the right places. Another epic dancefloor workout

4. X-Ray (Ben Dickeson (Electromagnetism Remix)
We have to say this is one of his finest remixes on our label to date. It’s one of those tracks where you can’t resist listening from start to finish. Incredible production skills that deliver and complement the original mix.

5. X-Ray (Radio edit)
We couldn’t resist including a cheeky radio edit that still does the job

Get ready for the biggest release from Foxtrot Alpha Recordings so far!

We are excited to announce a new remix project, of the all-time early rave classic from Genaside II. The original idea started from when J-Me Griffiths chopped up the main sample parts from the 1991 classic release. “The original was always a big inspiration back in our early days of playing out hardcore rave music” The artwork on the record was also way ahead at the time and always a favourite. AC Trixta & J-Me couldn’t resist giving it a remix and the new 2023 version was born with updated artwork. To make things even more amazing we were privileged to have the other special guest mixes from: Shades of Rhythm, Ranj Kaler, Ben Dickeson and Dr SJ / BBC (Break Beat Connection)


1. AC Trixta & J-Me Griffiths Remix – This is where the remix project initially started from.
Crisp electro influenced breaks. Sirens, warm bass, cheeky scratches, arp snyths. Plus, new melodic elements. Powerful and well produced journey that reflects well on the original version. 

2. Shades of Rhythm Remix – Oldschool vs NuSkool rave masters deliver an uplifting, powerful, pumping piano club house mix. Packed full of nostalgia and new parts to pick up the pace on any dancefloor. Get ready to put those hands in the air!

3. Ranj Kaler Remix – Lovely synth intro that builds from the start. Heavy 80’s electro vibes on the drums and stabs. Lush gated vocals and heavenly piano sections that create an uplifting, emotional warm melodic breaks masterpiece.  

4. Ben Dickeson remix – Superb production on this mix. Starting off with crisp funky breaks that that carry an infectious groove on the drums and warm bass. Teasing the ragga rap while gradually introducing some of the original vocal parts throughout the mix. Not forgetting some new fresh sounds from Ben. Ideal for any dancefloor out there. 

5. Dr SJ / Break Beat Connection remix – Label boss Dr SJ teams up with BBC to deliver a Killer Rave break mix at its finest. Hard, heavy, rough and ready.

About Tee Wolff:
Darren Wolff’s production career has developed over two decades with writing and production credits spanning various styles and having worked with various artists. Such as The Dub Pistols (on their first album) as well as a the production duo Truman and Wolff (with Mike Truman from Hybrid fame) signed at the time to Multiply records and becoming Multiply’s go to remixers They also released ‘Come Again feat Steel Horses which reached number 42 in the UK’s main charts back in 1998. Remix credits include Café Del Mar (with Mike Truman as Hybrid) Sash, Space Monkeys with Dub Pistols, Rachel McFarlane, as well as various other artists at the time. Darren has found himself back in the saddle once again, this time working alongside co-producer Tim Lewis and has been working with various artists over the last few years and looks forward to releasing more material with Foxtrot Alpha over the coming year.


1. Original Mix
The original version is a US house style, laidback summer vibes tune. With catchy vocals, strings, soothing, brass, flutes, lush filtered piano chords, And a touch of masters at work on the bass and organ sections. Together, is a warm uplifting musical delight. 



2. Electronic Project Lab Remix

Top work from Electronic Project Lab (AKA: Benjamin Dickeson) on remix duties. Lush warm crisp drums, hypnotic grooves, Sasha’esque progressive journey, melodic deep house. Plus some cool Ear candy, electrified bass, catch vocal sections, twisted lead synth that just keeps coming. Awesome production with warm piano chords and the lead taking control. 

3. Ten Bob Remix

Ten Bob returns again on Foxtrot Alpha. This time delivering a really cool pumping remix of Together delivered in his signature style. Tight chunky drums, teasing stripped back vocals, gradual filtered piano chords with an Infectious groove. Very well produced with a powerful energy throughout the journey. 

4. Wolfies GaragTech Remix

This final remix, is a funky, dark, garagetech workout. Within a New York esque, stripped back dubby style. Containing, cool clean vocal parts. Along with some new low pitched vocal stabs. All toned down to deliver a proper deep chunky work out from the man like Wolfie.
