BEAST [Track Sample]

Well... I finally have something new written after what feels like years! (You can Download it too if you like) So happy I had a chance to write something new and I'm pretty happy with how this has turned out. It's not very long, but I will write more to it when I have the time. Trust me to write the solo first.... And the name... it's just because the same riff is going on and on and on....

Benjamin Ellis - "Constant"

I'm trying out something new here! I'm now trying to incorporate more of the different styles of music and instruments/sounds that I love into one musical... thing. Really enjoying how it's coming out so far, so I'm going to continue trying to merge more of my musical influences together to make some more music. This one's kind of short right now as it was just to test things out at first. I've also been experimenting with mixing and production... there's a lot to improve on, still, and doing this has just made me want some working monitors even more so than before. Crappy laptop speakers just aren't cutting it! Thanks for listening!

An excerpt from a song I am currently working on. Progressive Melodic Death Metal in the vein of bands such as Scar Symmetry, Soilwork, Sybreed, etc. ... It's a little rough but it's getting there. No Cymbals on the kit yet either haha!

Raven [Track Sample]

Working on some basic guitar tones. Mix is way too bassy, sorry!!

My first real attempt at creating a kit sound with superior drummer. Only ever used Steven Slate drums before so it was fun to have a go with some different software. Add a silly heavy riff and it sounds quite cool!

Here's a quick teaser of a pre-production track I've been putting together with my good friend Steven Powell (Ex- Once A Wolf). We are planning to make an EP together this year and we'll both be contributing to the writing, performing, singing, recording, mixing.... everything basically. I'm really excited for this project and can't wait to show you guys more! <3

"Saviour" - Pre-production demo for new project!

Composer/Musician/Producer. Here you will find examples of my own compositional work, as well recordings I have produced for other artists, and maybe the odd guest appearance. I'm currently working on a portfolio for computer game soundtracks, a solo project (inc. elements of Metal, Fusion, Ambient, Electronic and more), and other bits and pieces. I love many styles of music, and a whole heap of artists.. but to quickly give 4 examples (some would say favourites ;) ) - Scar Symmetry, Imogen Heap, Guthrie Govan, and Koji Kondo. This might give you an idea of some of the sounds you might find here!
