Perfect Lovers met Benjamin 16 years ago in the Northern Brasilian city of Belem, where Benjamin played at his then-boyfriends bar/nightclub. Benjamin is an avid record collector and relocated to Sao Paulo many, many moons ago, where he is a mainstay in the local music scene.  This mix holds an extra special place in our hearts, reminding us of all the amazing people we have met over the years across the globe. Muito saudades, Benjamin!

Benjamin Ferreira:  
From the Primavera Sound line up to the underground parties in São Paulo, Benjamin Ferreira is a household name in the Brazilian electronic scene. No wonder: Benjamin is a complete artist, unifying charisma, skills and musical knowledge. With a wide-ranging musical research which goes from disco to house, from techno to Brazilian music, the DJ has in the diversity of references one of his trademarks. 
Benjamin was pretty much born between two turntables. Shaken by the mixing sessions of two of his uncles, DJs in the 1970s and 1980s, Benjamin had his childhood and teenage years full of good servings of dance music in Ananindeua, outskirts of Belém. Thus, besides maths and Portuguese at school, the DJ was educated in the BPM pedagogy.
