Greetings from the wilds of Northern Nevada. This month's music feels like it's all over the place--just how I like it. Mostly uptempo house and tech house, it branches off and slows down a bit towards the middle/end. I love this mix a lot and hope you do too. It was made with a lot of love.

A mix that moves through the vicissitudes of love; its joys, its sorrows, its peaks and its valleys. And the mix moves through genres, spanning house, soul, R&B, a little bit of indie rock and concluding with a special farewell from the Chairman of the Board.

Songs For Modern Lovers

In the last two years, I've experienced many a night at home, alone, thinking about the world and my place and purpose within it. I've spent nights journeying deep inside and have experienced a kaleidoscope of emotion; sadness, joy, hope, despair, love, anger, delight, disgust and a myriad of others. I have gone into and experienced my own darkness and the darkness that surrounds me...and some of those nights have felt immensely sacred. In some of these journeys, it has felt like I have communed with some Spirits that left me in awe of their beauty.  

This is some of the music that has kept me company on those journeys. I hope it resonates for you and your journey.

I am not making it to That Thing In The Desert this year, as I have responsibilities that I need to honor, but here's a little something for the journey, moving from dark to light and back again, hopefully with some of the frequency that makes the journey to Black Rock such a transformational experience. After three years, there should be some pretty incredible pent-up energy ready to be released and conjured with.

Music For A Pilgrimage To That Thing In The Desert

As 2022 comes to a close, I have to confess that I feel the most positive and excited about the future than I've felt in...well, maybe ever. It was one of the most challenging years of my life, but I feel like I've come out on the other side. I don't just see the light at the end of the tunnel, I feel like I'm coming out of the tunnel itself, ready to meet 2023 with excitement and a lot of enthusiasm. I thank my friends, my community, my tribe and a lot of love directed at me for all of it. 

This music reflects that sense of optimism for me. It's based more on traditional house than what I usually spin, but the songs on this mix just kind of came to me. Where I usually labor over a mix...this one just flowed. One take. Less agonizing. More flow. 

And with all that said, I wish for all of you listening a 2023 of beauty, love, growth, great sex, friendship, and community...of challenges met squarely and successfully...and of course, ridiculously great music and dancing.

Autumn Leaves Revisited

This was an impromptu set after a long night on the Playa that involved chasing music to no avail and some comical mishaps out in Deep Playa. Rezidence 48 - October 2024

So I had a Studio 54 themed birthday party recently. It was spectacular. I had a whole set planned, but I had so much love and energy coming my way that I couldn't play worth a damn. So this is the set that I planned and would have played...had I not been vibrating on a frequency that had me both feeling deliriously joyous and completely unable to DJ.
