The dynamic duo Benncart and Lux Familiar are back after taking some time off. The third instalment of their series of EP's might just be their hardest, druggiest and most hard hitting release to date. The collection of four club-ready tracks opens with "Blow Yo Head", which turns the classic Fred Wesley & The J.B.'s sample on it's head, creating a frantic, chopped up dancefloor-friendly belter. The vocals on the track are provided by the first lady of the Polish footwork scene - Oth. The EP doesn't lose it's paste there - the second track "Do A Trick" is a example of a how trap and footwork go well when combined together. "Fuck The Summer Up" picks up the tempo of Leikeli47's song of the same name, hitting the peak of the release. 3/4 concludes itself with "Ghetto Expressions", a more mellow and softer ending, albeit still carrying a strong club vibe. Roll yourself one and enjoy. Keep your ears open for the final installment of the series, which will be unveiled in a really near future.

Bennelux, a duo consisting of Lux Familiar and Benncart has come a long way since kicking off their series of footwork EP's over a year and half ago. While honing their production skills with every release they have managed to receive much acclaim and support by the likes of Addison Groove, Om Unit or Traxman. Shortwhile after dropping the third installment, the Polish Juke members are back with the final part. Arguably their finest offering to date, "4/4" focuses on a more melodic spectrum of the fast-pasted, bass-oriented music native to the city of Chicago. The EP opens with "Knockin' Doors Down (Deep Burnt)", which utilizes a Freddie Hubbard sample used famously in a beloved deep house classic "Deep Burnt" by Pepe Bradock. Complex arrangment, ever-changing rhythmic patterns and a cavalcade of sounds lifted from numerous sources make up one of Bennelux's most impressive tracks. "Whatcha Need?" follows with a similar, laid-back vibe, combining beefed-up drums with a chilled out sample and vocal chops, making it a track suitable for both club and home environments. "Together" is a hard-hitting footwork take on 1995 Omni Trio track of the same name, ready to set off any dance floor on fire. The climatic finale comes with "(We Will Be Here) Forever" , a deep mixture of dreamy chords, loads of low end and KRS-One vocal samples, which make a bold statement about the duo's plans for the future. Now, after their four-part series has come to an end, Benncart and Lux will focus on finishing their album, for which every fan of footwork music should be on the lookout for.
