Rain gathers against the glass and falls in thin streams, and while I watch it slide down the window I retrace the past, shifting through my dreams. Shadows seem to pulse awake whenever your name appears. Every quiet ache echoes through the years, and even now I feel you through the static.

On the rooftops two lights wander through the rain, their mirrored sights drifting across the pane as if they are searching for something lost. A photo by the lamp rests nearby, its edges soft and clear, and memory presses its familiar stamp deeper with every passing year.

Again the shadows pulse awake when your name appears, and every quiet ache echoes through the years. I still feel you through the static while the two lights move across the rain soaked roofs, their reflections drifting slowly across the glass.
