Unlike a lot of working artists, my parents didn't have any connections to the music industry. However, without my Mother, I wouldn't have this insane passion for music and, therefore, music-making. Her encouragement and my passion helped me become self-driven to make a name for myself, by myself, in my local music scene as well as Nashville. 



My Mother and my grandparents immigrated to the U.S. during the early 1970s. She listens to a lot of classical and Christian music, but there were two secular bands that she loved growing up: The Monkees and Simon & Garfunkel. 


I recognize the rather tongue-in-cheek lyrics that directly relate to the antagonist of the 1967 film, The Graduate. However, the lyrical content and my sentiments for my mother might as well be on separate planets. This cover is solely a gift of appreciation for my Mother's support and who she is as a person. 


In addition to "I Am A Rock" and "Bridge Over Troubled Water," she simply loves this song. 


This gift of a cover is something for her to sing along to and embarrass me in public with. However, most importantly, I want to show her that my gifts for her take time and thoughtful attention to detail. 


The first release date, Nov 22nd, is her birthday.

What if Third Eye Blind wrote a pop-country tune with Old Dominion? What if they wrote about life from a neutral, wisened perspective? Maybe this song isn't for everyone, but it's for people who need to hear it. "Mountain Steep" is a narrative follow-up to Concrete Floor, Benn Park's debut album, taken three years after the events of the final track ("Turtle Race").

Alone

Alt-country and Americana artist Benn Park fuses commercial appeal with candid lyrics inspired by the world around him. Benn moved to Nashville, TN, in 2017; since then, he's transformed from an amateur rock star to a maturing lyricist. Concrete Floor, his debut album, is a testament to his growth. Outside of his own music, Benn has gained a few songwriting cuts with friends. His biggest one to date is "Timeline" by Tayla Racca, which won 1st place at the 2022 New England Songwriting Competition. His next EP is expected to arrive later this year.
