Verses 1-7

الٓمٓ
Alif, Lām , Mīm .

غُلِبَتِ ٱلرُّومُ
The Romans have been defeated

فِيٓ أَدۡنَى ٱلۡأَرۡضِ وَهُم مِّنۢ بَعۡدِ غَلَبِهِمۡ سَيَغۡلِبُونَ
in the nearer land; and they, after their defeat, will triumph

فِي بِضۡعِ سِنِينَۗ لِلَّهِ ٱلۡأَمۡرُ مِن قَبۡلُ وَمِنۢ بَعۡدُۚ وَيَوۡمَئِذٖ يَفۡرَحُ ٱلۡمُؤۡمِنُونَ
within a few years. To Allah belonged the matter before and (to Him it belongs) thereafter. And on that day the believers will rejoice

بِنَصۡرِ ٱللَّهِۚ يَنصُرُ مَن يَشَآءُۖ وَهُوَ ٱلۡعَزِيزُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ
with Allah’s help. He helps whomsoever He wills. And He is the Mighty, the Very-Merciful.

He gives victory to whom He wills يَنصُرُ مَن يَشَآءُ ۖ
