The sixth and final section of “Tome of Stars”, “Scripture”, leaves narrative behind to consecrate the poet’s enduring, unrequited love as sacred text. Comprising nine sonnets, it transforms the terminal condition of quixotosis (a delusional devotion stripped of belief in reciprocity) into liturgy, adopting the voice and cadence of timeless religious writing.

“Polaris” identifies the figure of the Stargirl with the North Star as a symbol of enduring guidance, divine presence, and unyielding love in a chaotic and unworthy creation. The sonnet intertwines celestial imagery with human yearning, portraying her as both the origin and salvation of existence. The poem laments humanity’s hubris and the suffering it brings, contrasting it with the gentle, unerring constancy of the Stargirl, who guides, nurtures, and redeems. Two themes intertwine, the despair over humanity’s failings and the hope and solace offered by a higher, transcendent force.

Her absence is the agony we’ve bought;
We lurch and grasp at joys that only weep.

The cosmos, birthed within her endless womb,
Betrays her love, yet still she sweetly sings.

And calls us from our winter to her spring.

On rare nights, when our venomed hubris dims,
And glories of the galaxies glow bright,

Halyx was a short-lived sci-fi themed rock band developed by Disneyland Records that performed at Disneyland's Tomorrowland during 1981 at the Space Stage outside Space Mountain.

In the early 1980s, hoping to expand beyond children's records and movie tie-ins, a team at Disneyland Records experimented with creating a rock band. Taking advantage of the science fiction craze inspired by the success of Star Wars, they devised the concept of an intergalactic rock band and decided that Disneyland's Tomorrowland would be an appropriate venue to debut the concept and test the waters for a full record. Proposed names included "Strike", "SQWAD", and "Starfire" (which made it as far as concept art), before settling on the name Halyx, with a mixture of human and costumed alien performers such as a white Wookiee-like creature that played bass, an acrobatic amphibian percussionist, and a robotic keyboardist. Ultimately, the band only performed for one season in 1981, with Disneyland management feeling skeptical of the idea of loud rock music in the park, while a partnership deal between Disneyland Records and Warner Music Group to produce the album ended up collapsing.

In 2008, audio recordings of Halyx songs from the live concerts found their way onto YouTube.
