Helming the latest in our mix series, Hauke hands in a non-stop hour of genre-spanning dance floor heaters, slotting moody, low-slung house and techno alongside bubbling acid, breaks, electro and everything in between, forcing you to bounce in a way that the producer and DJ's output always does.

ETCH steps up to helm the next episode of the "LMD Locked On" podcast series. A three hour mix built around musical influences from the Brighton based beat scientist.

Few words about the mix by ETCH:

"I guess with a lot of studio mixes and even live i'm known for being eclectic and jumping tempos back and forth quite fast - this mix being long form allowed me to progress things a lot more in a story-telling style manner which is exactly how each track on the record plays out - I also play a lot of old house tracks because despite not being an up front influence on the record as a whole they were actually largely what I was listening to while I was writing the record, I think those particular tracks catch a timeless groove that can move seamlessly through the other genres that are in the mix and within the record, much like how people say it all started with the blues, I feel with modern electronic music it started with those house records, particularly the ones that caught a peculiar groove; I actually had a list of 300 tracks i wanted to fit into the mix and I was fully going to try and do 32 bars, 32 bars, 32 bars, 32 bars etc... but I decided to take it slow"

West Kerry native DJ Ben Ó Faoláin's genre-blurring eclecticism was inspired by dancefloor encounters with the djing of Coldcut, Afrika Bambaata and DJ Food while living in Bristol during the halcyon days of that city's mid-90s music scene. His 'Sweet Beat!' night is a feature of festivals and dancefloors from Belfast to Baile an Fhirtéirigh.
Ben's join-the-dots musical philosophy and disregard for the trends of mainstream club-land have earned him an enthusiastic and loyal international following.
Ben's years as a presenter of the seminal ‘An Taobh Tuathail’ music show on national RTE Radio saw Jim Carroll of The Irish Times label him “the best music dj on RTE Raidió na Gaeltachta.”
As head music critic with Nos Magazine (www.nos.ie) since 2009, Ben always has a stash of upfront promos up his sleeve.
Expect a four-deck selection joining the dots between good-time party hip hop, reggae, latin dancefloor bangers, funk, disco, afro-boogie, drum 'n' bass and a twist of contemporary electronic and tropical bass styles!
