If there was a house DJ in America who could accurately claim to be the most important house DJ working today, it would be Doc Martin. But then, Doc would never accept such a title even if it happens to be true, because Doc is not only a legendary talent but a legendarily humble man.

Doc Martin has earned the respect of many who are fanatic about his style of DJ’ ing. His style crosses over from all timeless genres providing his listeners a new outlook and ever growing futuristic, unique sound. He can always surprise you with a rare classic that crosses time zones and still hits the spot even now.

You will always feel the warmth of the crowd around the decks watching him spin away as they dance. The variation in his style of music is endless.

What makes him so different from the rest?

A unique ability to spin everything from Deep House to his funky Tribal Bass lines mixed with threads of Acid which creates soundscapes that cross all barriers. His collection of rare and classic records can be heard at his gigs.

He continuously chooses and enjoys mixing with digital and analogue gear as he creates his own signature style of DJ’ing and recordings.

Constantly producing and remixing for his own and various labels across the world Doc Martin is always working on a new project. He constantly tours at such clubs as: Residency @ Output Brooklyn (New York), Residency @ Flash (Washington DC) and  a Residency @ Sublevel (Los Angeles)

He has also hitted some of the most important dancefloors around the world like  DC10, Womb, Fabric, Panorama and BPM usually sharing decks with heavyweights like  Craig Richard, Dixon, Seth Troxler, Ricardo Villalobos among others. Also has toured with The Basement Jaxx and Daft Punk in Australia and played as opener to James Brown, Grace Jones, Inner City and about anyone else you can think of.

Doc Martin and singer / songwriter Lillia are recognized for their Live shows and Underground events in Los Angeles. When Lillia performs with Doc Martin the duo is known as “Sublevel Live”. He likes to add Roland Acid fills & uses Pioneer gear to give Sublevel Live it’s own style mixing in a Live Vocal over a DJ format feel. Together they started the Sublevel record label based out of Los Angeles and have released a variety of electronic music. They have toured Japan, USA, Europe and Canada .

Lillia has found true inspiration on her tours in such cities as Tokyo, Playa Del Carmen, London, North and  South California, Berlin and Amsterdam.

Whether in an Underground, Club or Festival you can always feel the warm energy of Sublevel.

Well here we go. Another year and another Sunset Campout and again I was honored to play the closing set to wrap up the best party in the world Sunday on the beach. 
I did this one a little different and started with just some of my favorite slower jams and didn't really do much mixing for the first 30 min or so, but I got going after a few tunes and then it was off to the races. 
This one is bitter sweet as we lost our dear friend/brother/musical compatriot, Navid Izadi, one week to the day after this was recorded. 

This is for him.

Shane one - Sunset Campout Closing Set 2018

Michael Cassette hails from Finland and draws his musical inspiration from the memory of his late brother, David. And this essential two tracker announces him as a major new house music talent. On the A-side, 'Zeppelin' hails from the 'Discopolis' school of thinking, combining influences from the late 70's and 80's with today's production values.

The result is a melodic house beauty that just keeps on building and building. On the flip, 'David' is a direct tribute to Cassette's late brother, a chunky, 80's-infused electro houser with poignant vo-coded vocals. An awesome debut.

'St Germain' is the stage name of Ludovic Navarre and based on the story of the Count of St. Germain, a mysterious and eccentric man from the 18th century who claimed to be several hundred years old.
St Germain is among the leading French masters to have established the 'French Touch': the 'French Traxx EP' and 'Motherland EP', both released in 1993, introduced his style: a mix of deep house, jazz and lounge; sampling and real instruments playing side to side.

Navarre's album Boulevard was released in July 1995 and has sold over one million copies[4] worldwide. His United States debut, Tourist, was released in 2000 and sold 300,000 copies in the USA and four million copies worldwide.[4] Bob Marley, Toots & the Maytals, Miles Davis and Kool and the Gang are among Ludovic's early influences. He composed his first work under the name of Sub System with friend Guy Rabiller. He has released EPs under a number of aliases, among them Deepside, LN'S, Modus Vivendi, Nuages and Soofle.

St Germain is not associated with the Saint-Germain-des-Prés Café compilation series, though his song "Deep in It" is featured on its "Volume 1".

His song "Rose Rouge" was featured in the official movie trailer for Joss Whedon's 2013 Much Ado About Nothing.

His eponymous album, released on 9 October 2015, was recorded with the participation of African musicians, the album features traditional Malian instruments such as kora, balafon and n’goni, that mingle with electric guitars, pianos, saxophones and electronic loops. The first single, “Real Blues”, sets the voice of Lightnin’ Hopkins to the beat of wild, fiery drums and percussion.

The original single sleeve is decorated with a 3D mask conceived by Urban Art creator Gregos, known for his smiling and frowning faces stuck on walls throughout Paris and Europe.

St Germain was included in the line-up for Coachella 2016.
