This track is composed with only a circuit bent Yamaha MU15. All the sounds are from the circuit bent state, not when the machine is not corrupted. Multitracked and mixed into Ableton Live 9 with stock plugins.

The Mukin's Show

This is a techno track made with only a circuit bent Yamaha PSS380 which has no keyboard. All the sounds used are either in circuit bent mode or original mode. It has been heavily multitracked and mixed in Ableton Live 9 with stock plugins.

PSS Alabama

A little techno jam from a Novation Launchkey Mini Mk3 arpeggio controlling a circuit bent Yamaha MU15 with effects from the MU15 itself, a TC Electronic Fluorescence reverb pedal and the FX from a Behringer 1202 FX. A RNC 1773 stereo compressor is applied to the master bus.

Intro from my liveset of the PURGEGAZING II concert (organised by Noirgazer) which took place in the Saint Benoît Church in Karaköy, Istanbul, 16th of June, 2023.

The style was something between Dungeon Synth and Dark ambient with hardware such as Access Virus TI, circuit bent Yamaha MU15, circuit bent Casio MT540, Akai MPC500, Novation Launchkey Mini MK3, 1010 Music Blue Box, 2 Zoom MS70 CDR and 1 Zoom MS50 G.

The overall sound quality is not incredible at all, I accept it.

PURGEGAZING II - Intro

Little ambient live with some arpeggios played on Novation Launchkey Mini MK3 and sent to an old Yamaha QY20. The overall effect added is from the Yamaha MS70 CDR.

Improvised live with absolutely unappropriate gear for this kind of music. Apart from the bassdrum sequence which is triggered by midi from the Microsampler to the PSS-380, everything is played live by hand.

Recorded directly from the main outputs of the mixer to Ableton live with a little bus compression and a little bit of bus EQ.

Studio live performance, circuit bending + DIY machines

This is a demo of the vintage FX unit from Viscount ER-256. This is a digital unit from the 80's, quite rare and which was intended to be used with organs. There is a mono input and stereo outputs. We have an input level control, an output level control, dry/wet mix control, a selector for the FX and a selector for variation around each FX.

In this demo, I'm running a "rock" beat from a Casio MT-25 through the unit with a 50% setting on the mix potentiometer.

I'm going through each FX with its 16 variations during all the demo.

Please note that there are sometimes some spitting in sound, this is due to the potentiometers, I fix this problem after the recording (not logical, I agree) and there is not spitting now...

Gate, Reverse, Chamber and plate are particularly interesting as reverbs and multi tap is a very cool delay since it has different "patterns" of delaying in each of its 16 variations.
