This was actually the birthday party of a mate of mine (ex-promoter) with full marquee, dodgems, 15k sound, lasers - the full works and in a field down an old dirt track in the middle of no-where just like back in 1989 - The party was full of like minded ravers and even the police turned up at 3am to shut us down - but they didn't succeed hehe... Other DJs included Micky Finn, Colin Dale & Jumping Jack Frost!

Slipmatt - Live @ Dance Planet Pure Energy II 29-01-1994

My set at The O2 Arena alongside The Prodigy, Rudimental, Jaguar Skill and Modestep. I played 1.30-2.30 straight after The Prodigy in the main arena to finish the night off with an hour of classic 90s Old Skool Rave.

The arena was amazing, the whole night was an incredible experience and from what I could make out everyone was having the time of their lives.

This was apparently the best selling live Fantazia mixtape in 1993 so I was told....just info and certainly not a big up..... and it featured my good friend Food Junkie on the other side as far as I remember. Absolutely love the recording with all the crowd noise, it really captures the atmosphere.... Amazing memories! ...Sounds of the Joker, sounds of the Scallywag :)........reach for the sky!!!

As a warm up to my 2 East Coast gigs this weekend I've dug out this live set recorded at The Pleasuredome in 1995. I shall be playing at "Return to Fantasy Island" in Skegness and at "Destiny" in Harwich this weekend which are both retro Happy Hardcore gigs. The sound quality isn't the best, in fact I had to totally repair and remaster the file, but I really hope you can still enjoy it and that it brings back memories to those who were there and gives off the incredible vibe for those who were too young...
