Returning to another of our favourite haunts, the party plane hits Scotland and its wild eastern regions. Here, we find an artist who has a rich history in his country's dance music scene, now with the skills and attributes to run TWO labels, artist management AND still DJ to the highest level. PFG give it up for Brent Lawson!

Raised on a steady diet of 80s synth music, Brent has always had one foot on the dancefloor. A clubber first, it was a fateful trip to nearby Arbroath that first opened his mind to the possibilities of electronic music as a DJ: “I had a love for the electronic sounds created by Jean Michele Jarre from that point I was drawn into electronic music.” He says, citing the Rhumba Club a favourite venue from his youth. 
“This night has informed so many years of my clubbing history and is responsible for everything that I have done and will do.”

The late Nineties were a fertile time for those venturing into DJing. And for Brent, gigs came quickly. After a short break raising and supporting his family, Brent is now free to refocus on his music and his company Probtech Management.

Comprised of two record labels and an Artist management company Probtech is a business on the up. With key additions to his staff this shows just how serious Brent takes his brand, and processes are in place to put Probtech in the same ballpark as the Bedrock’s, Drumcode’s and Toolroom’s of the industry.

On top of his own work with Pro B, Brent has taken up a new role with MOAI
Spain as the U.K. and Ireland consultant, he is also a director and resident of AATM Radio, resident of Music Is The Answer Dundee, Proton Radio Monthly resident, and soon to be taking on a new residency with Beach Radio.

At heart Brent is a DJ who just loves to share his passion for the music with his audience. As Resident at one of Dundee’s premiere nights MITA he regularly rubs
shoulders with the best DJs in the world. Brent is also making his first forays into the production world with a few releases under his belt, including music with Hernan Cattaneo, Soundexile, Quivver, Blue Amazon and most recently a new release on Balkan Connection...

Falling

This is a brand new podcast for 2023 as I get back into making and releasing new music and dusting off the 1's and 2's after a few years break.

I present The Audite Music Podcast. My new label of the same name will be launching later this year. This will be a monthly podcast showcasing new music - sometimes new to me, even if its been out for years - but simply music I think is great across lots of genres. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Born in the Midlands in the UK, Ben Summers has been DJing & making for over 25 years.

Ben has released music on many labels including Lowbit, Pro B Tech & Stripped Recordings. His 2012 track Phobos7 had support from Sasha who charted the ThermalBear remix on his Beatport chart.

Ben is also part of 'NameSpace' (alongside Ben Shaw) and their first release "The Sentinel" was swiftly signed to highly acclaimed label Stripped Recordings and released in March 2011.  The Sentinel was remixed by Deepfunk and Global Underground regular Jim Rivers. Since then NameSpace have gone on to remix tracks by Seb Dhajje, Deepfunk and Tilt to name just a few.

In 2015 they also collaborated with Tilt on their album Resonator making the track 'Ku'. That year NameSpace also headlined their own live gig at the Ministry of Sound in London.

After a long hiatus Ben has been back in the studio. In December 2020 he released 'Into the Golden Sun'  on Guerilla Records gaining support from the likes of Nick Muir, Gai Barone, and Pete Tong.

Since then he has released music on 64bit Records, Mirabilis and Pro B Tech Records.

2023 sees Ben continuing his release schedule with releases and remixes due from Krafted, Stella Polaris to name a just a few.
