Here is my third portfolio piece of this semester. This song had to be to the brief of an experimental song. I'm new to this genre, but gave it a crack anyway. 

This song is about human nature, how it is leading us to self destruction; Our greed will be our end.

Human Nature (Experimental)

My latest project, guitar parts getting more difficult. I know I still have a long way with my overall recording and mixing. But it's all about the baby steps ;P

No One Knows Cover

Latest referencing project. Nice and easy vocals and instrumentals. Really happy with the turn around of this one, roughly 9 hours. Worked every part out by ear, drums took about 4 hours alone to write and mix.

Hurricane Cover

Another shotgun of a referencing project, roughly 6 hours from start to finish. Had real fun with this one too, nice and easy :)

Some interesting techniques i developed for this cover to achieve as close to the original as possibly. the only thing i didn't bother adding was a synth drum sound that's in the bridge creating a over compressed reverbed snare hit using a drum stick and a laundry basket. Another was to recreate a kid's voice for backing vocals i just sung high and out of tune a bit haha!

Got inspiration at 4am to do this one. 7 hours start to finish. I had fun with this one, Vocals nice and easy, was the guitars that was a butt =/

Take Me Out Cover

Around 8 hours turn around for this one. Trying new techniques to get the vocals to sit in the mix better. Was fun to do.

First try and usin Reaper to record over Pro Tools 10. Handles way better and has way more features. Just gotta find everything again in it haha.

Took a aussie bogan hiphop style for the vocals for something different and that I thought that I wouldn't do the american accent justice.
