I originally set out to put a mix together of purely old skool Techno but whilst searching through my old tunes got sucked into some acid house classics so the resulting mix is a bit of a mish mash of the 2.  Most tracks are either produced by or influenced by Joey Beltram and represent an era that will never be forgotten.

A remix of an old hardcore track that I don't feel gets enough recognition and certainly wouldn't appear on most old skool rave mix compilations.  In a similar way to my remix of 'I Can't Take The Power' I have made it a little more DJ friendly.  With this one, I also slowed the tempo a little so that it fits in with a more house vibe.

Ultimate Old Skool Mix 88 - 94

This is a mix that I've been wanting to put together for a while but haven't been able to find time that I thought a mix like this deserved to put it together and mix it.  There was around 50 tracks that I originally wanted in the mix but in order to fit it into roughly 90 minutes I cut it down to around 20.  The mix starts on a more progressive style to any of my previous house classics mixes  taking in the best of epic house from the early to mid 90's.  It then moves through more of an acid sound and finally onto a harder edged sound.  Some of the tracks could be considered forgotten classics by some but all are masterpieces worthy of a place on any house classics mix in my opinion.

Old Skool House Classics Volume 5 Logical Progression 92 - 97

A mix of some bouncy techno and UK hardcore classics from the mid nineties to the present day.  The style on this mix moves away from the break beat and piano driven sound featured in my Happy Hardcore classics mix and focuses more on the 4/4 synth driven bouncy sound that was played by the likes of  DJ Brisk at the legendary Club Kinetic and Scott Brown at Rezerection in Scotland.

My 2 recent house mixes have a good few examples of these sort of tracks and whilst putting those 2 mixes together I thought it would be fun to do a mashed up mix of all things early nineties thrown together with more 'new skool' piano house.
