Advice for the DJs, producers and artists of our community: If you take yourself seriously as an artist then by definition you are a “serious artist.” Try not to let commerce depower art in your life. Music is about making art powerful in your own life. Focus on your private practice first, and then focus on making your music meaningful in the lives of others. That’s the natural way of things. Invest in the idea that your friends are special and talented and then create together. Don’t wait for others to acknowledge your work before you take yourself seriously.

Freerotation is a festival we've played for the last seven years. It's the only festival we've played so regularly, and it's an incredibly special place to all three of us.
 
This is the first time we've shared a recording of a set the three of us have played in a club or festival setting, and it feels right that it is a recording from there. This year we played the penultimate set on the final night in the second room, before Objekt closed it out (which you can hear here - https://soundcloud.com/keinobjekt/freerotation-2015-closing-set). Unfortunately the final 15 minutes were lost, but this is almost the entirety of our three hour set.

This mix is a live excerpt from one of the last parties we played before covid turned everything upside down. Two hours cut from an 8 hour set at Colour in Melbourne. After all these months, and finally listening back, we felt like it captures the essence of our DJ style quite well and took us back to those fun moments on the dance floor, feeding off the dancers energy.
