place : is country specific - electronic music compilations where the proceeds are donated to local human rights groups. Highlight the local producers, and bring awareness to the social causes that are important to the creative community there. 

Social Cause 

Recent unrest in Tbilisi which saw young clubbers and far-right demonstrators facing off in street protests have highlighted divisions between Georgia’s long-standing conservative traditions and emerging, more liberal views. After transitioning Georgia to a parliamentary system of governance, the ruling Georgian Dream party rushed through constitutional reforms without securing broader political consensus. 

In May 2018, Georgian police raided multiple popular clubs in Tbilisi, using excessive force against workers and guests. The officially stated reason for the raid is due to recent drug-related deaths and accusations of drug trafficking. 

This sparked a two-day long protest in front of the Georgian parliament. “We dance together, we fight together” – under this slogan, people organized a big techno party. It was not just about dancing. These young people were protesting against restricting their freedom. Tbilisi electronic music scene has displayed unprecedented level of solidarity and unity and once again has proven that along with people, it stands at the vanguard of social changes, fights for justice, equality and freedom. 

Other areas of concern include punitive criminal drug policies for drug users, occupational safety and labor rights, media freedoms, particularly media pluralism, and violence and discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people.

Based in Tbilisi Georgia, Human Rights Education and Monitoring Center (EMC) is an organization working on human rights aiming to support creation of free, equal society based on solidarity. 

EMC aims to reveal the structural causes of social and political inequality, oppression, conduct critical analysis as well as change existing policy by using human rights instruments and activist fighting methods. 

They believe in freedom, equality and solidarity of the society, social and economic justice, in the idea of state as a guarantor of social justice and welfare. We fight for getting an inclusive and fair democratic system based on political participation. 

The major instruments of organizational activities: research, advocacy, strategic litigation, teaching. EMC in its activities uses the approaches of social groups’ participation as well as their mobilization. EMC tries to support and incorporate their needs, concerns and demands into the political agenda.

Ascetic Limited is back with another digital release from an up and coming producer from our second home, Tbilisi. Making the jump from California's Underground techno scene to the underground Georgian techno scene for the first addition to our digital catalog from an artist outside of California. We are excited to welcome Georgian native, Benvol with a 4 track EP titled Moriel.
The EP begins with Insomnia, a dance floor orientated techno cut that is driving yet progressive and deep.Next, the title track of the EP, Moriel, is a deep dive into the capacity of Benvol as a producer. A driving, hypnotic techno cut with a powerful approach to deep techno showing his full spectrum of skill while delivering this dance floor bomb.
Fight is a track that reflects the struggle of the Georgian rave community for their fight to be free to rave it's marked by a deep arpeggio and a distorted vocal and intense drums.
Lastly, Black Sea is an ambient cut with deep, yet dark tones driven by a subtle drone to close out the EP.
