This track is my attempt at stimulating Theta brainwave activity and inducing a mental state of deep relaxation by encoding binaural beats within an original composition. There are synth elements along with my field recordings of the waves washing ashore at night on the island of Cayman Brac. Deep Relaxation Experiment 1 - Cayman Sea

The purr of the domestic house cat falls somewhere in the range of 21-23 Hz. The healing properties of a cat's purr are documented, although the healing mechanisms are not. Purring heals tissue and bone damage in the cat and studies are now being conducted with humans (Rubin et al, Spine, 2003). The purpose of this piece is to induce mind-body healing, regulate breathing and lower cortisol levels (the stress hormone) in the bloodstream. A cat's purr is one of the most cherished sonic indicators of positive animal-human interaction - this purr happens to be from my cherished feline BFF, Boots. Please relax, enjoy and comment!
