The final Sol Selectas release of the 2021 is “La Sombre Del Viento”, a very special 3 track EP from our friends Derun.
Born in Istanbul and raised on stories of voyagers, Derun traces the steps of their  ancestors who traveled to the distant corners of the world for exploration, trade, and love. 

"La Sombra del Viento" (The Shadow of the Wind) is an expression of our lifetime experiences. As the we flow like the wind through the journey of life, we leave behind little pieces of ourselves along the way, marking our presence with our shadows.  

"Ven Hermosa" (Come beautiful one) is a quirky story of love, about a woman being courted by two men, both of whom promise the woman exquisite wedding gifts if she accepts. But in the end she laughs at their  adolescent attempts, and rejetcs them both. The vocals of Pharaoh’s Daughter merge perfectly with the Algerian melodies and tribal percussion.

"Descalzo" (Barefoot) is a collaboration between Derun and the the talented band ARKADYAN. The strong flamenco influence conjures up images of gypsies dancing barefoot on the shores of Andalucia.

Melodic pads float through the stereo panorama like the crystal clear water of a stream over round, moss-covered boulders. The subliminal undulations of the rhythm create an organic momentum reminiscent of the play of light and shadow on the ground under a summer forest canopy. Polish producer Raidho delivers two tracks that reveal the more levels and dimension the deeper you dance into their depths. Also there’s a remix by El Mundo who transforms the track ‘Dreamin’ into a powerful hypnosis trick that fits perfectly into the primetime of a dancefloor.

Focused on quality and uniqueness of music rather than its genre, WAYU Records welcomes Aetius Boutefoy for his debut release. The Dusseldorf bred, Siena based producer burst onto the scene in summer 2018 with work on A Must Have and Audiometrica. Nearly one full year later, “Metaleda” coincides with his latest EP on Inward Records! According to Aetius, the title track invokes “a bit of everything.” Its rolling grooves, hazy atmos and ethnic instrumentation come partially in thanks to No:mad. By utilizing tribal percussion and woodwinds, the globetrotting live set guru takes listeners on "a magic carpet ride to every corner of the galaxy.”
