‘Passerella I’ marks @distant_echoes return to Counterchange after his appearance on ‘Stream State’ (COUNTER014) and the ‘Reminiscenze’ EP (COUNTER017).

The first in a two-part release, ‘Passerella I’ finds the long-standing Italian producer gracefully fluctuating between spacial electronica, krautrock-leaning synthesis, bass-heavy dubs and hypnotising modernist techno.

Some of the artist’s most diverse sonic outings to date, ‘Paserella’ is a perfect addition to the label catalog - once again patching together the worlds of techno and experimental, microtonal electronics.

Recently I was making a TB-303 sample pack for 60Sounds, and this put me back in a techno mood. So after WIP01 and WIP02 had an ambient vibe, I wanted WIP03 to be for the dancefloor. “Eruption” and “Decrypt” are two tracks I made for my DJ sets, one stronger, the other more melodic. I’ve enjoyed playing them out and am happy to now share them here. Hope you enjoy WIP03!

最近、スタジオでPeter Van Housen主催の60Soundsのライブラリー（これも近々発表となります）用にTB-303のノブをいじまくっていたら自粛モードで落ち着いていた自分の中のテクノバイブスが強まっていったこともあり、WIP01&02と続いたアンビエント系から一転、WIP03はフロア向けの方向になりました。Eruptionと Decryptは、自分のDJセットの流れの中で「こんな曲をプレイしたい」という意図から制作した2曲。デモバージョンではツアーの各地現場でもなかなか良く機能することを確認済みで、ここでファイナルバージョンを共有できることを嬉しく思っています。
まだまだ気を抜けない日々が続きますが、体調等お気をつけて！
