Das zweite Release des noch jungen Labels @delightsearthly steht in den Startlöchern. Um kulturelle und vielfältige Musik zu veröffentlichen, haben sich die Macher für eine EP des Kanadiers @kora-musique, der bereits auf Kindisch publizierte, entschieden. Am 16. Januar 2017 soll seine Deep-House-Kollektion „Fragile“ in digitaler Version erscheinen. Gleich der Opener der EP, „Vayu“, ist ein wunderschön strukturiertes Werk geworden, das von einer melodischen Wärme überschwemmt wird. Kora zeigt mit der Produktion eine gewisse Leichtigkeit und eine zarte Annäherung an Drums, während arabischer Gesang die Nummer abrundet. (...) Ein Remix kommt von @timur-sardarov alias Timujin. Named after an exotic South American bird, Nandoo kicks off with a subtle bassline and gradually blossoms into a string-heavy breezy cut, as playful as it is dynamic.

Label chief Oliver Koletzki amps up the exotic appeal, adding tribal vocals and eccentric yet organic-sounding elements, leading up to a tension-filled, dance-frenzy inducing break.
With its slightly more sober musical range, Theben acts as a grounding agent, offering the perfect foundation for exploring. Piano loops, synth leads and oriental vocal elongations all make an appearance and amalgamate in an eclectic and lively piece.

Simsim serves up an evenly warm and airy atmosphere, with the artist smoothly intertwining layers of strings with engaging synth leads.

This destination EP fuses Pandhora’s psychedelic rock and organica inspirations with rich berber sounds. The tracks were birthed from impromptu jam sessions in the Siwa Oasis, and retrace the steps of two guests in Egypt and the musical souls met along the way.

Menna Hussein's vocals open up the expedition on Fatnis Island, nestled between sweet Ney flute frenzies.
Infinite Sahara Skies sweeps across dunes to the tune of Nomad Saleh’s dancing dulcimer, riding organic percussions that carry it all the way from the Island. 
Wrapping up the journey, Siwa swells from the ground up as we are smoldering through ruins of the Shali fortress, electric guitar in hand.

These grounds are one of the most isolated settlements in Egypt. In ancient times, they belonged to the revered Oracle of Amun, “the hidden one”. Today, we are delighted to encounter some of Siwa’s energy through the sounds brought back to us.
