Es ist schwer, sich in einer Welt zurecht zu finden, in der die Bedeutungen geändert werden, sozusagen ein Umframen der Begriffe stattfindet. Die einen haben kaum Schmerz, diesen Wandel zu vollziehen, die anderen leiden unter Doppeldeutigkeiten oder den verkehrten Werten. Einer, der sich – nicht nur aus Verzweiflung, sondern ohnehin mit Lust an der Leichtigkeit – heute mit einer Portion Humor der verdrehten Welt annimmt, ist der Autor, Wildnispädagoge und Lehrer Gerald Ehegartner. Er verfasste den Text „Die Welt steht Kopf – unter der Flagge des Guten“.

Fred White, a tall atlantean chief usually hiding in the dark forests near Arvika in Värmland county of Sweden, is a legend in that words' truest form. 

A huge inspiration for me, a role model after 30+ years in the scene as an organizer, producer and DJ. A co-founder of Arvikafestivalen, a force within Flexible, owner of label Drevkollektivet and with gigs both locally and all over our planet. Too many to mention but how about Fusion Festival, Vuuv, Sisyphos in Germany, Secret Island in the micro nation Sweutchland, Boom Voyage in Tokyo, Earth Dance in Cape Town and Midnight Sun in Norway for starters?

Last time I heard him play he took us on a deep space journey at the magical gathering Yra|Rya by Cirkus Paralello ( https://soundcloud.com/user-172258087 ) and it became clear that he must be the next guest here on UrsaCast. And wow, how he delivered!! So, without further ado, enjoy..

Berlin Boom Orchestra steht für modernen, tanzbaren Reggae jenseits des gängigen Klischees vom tiefenentspannten Feel-Good-Gedudel. Direkt aus den dreckigen Clubs der Hauptstadt trifft Fickfinger-Attitüde auf Lovers Rock, Pro-Homo auf knallharten Dancehall und kritische Theorie auf urbane Bassmusik. Die neunköpfige Kapelle um den Sänger Filou überzeugt eine seit 2006 stetig wachsende Fanbase davon, dass Rub-A-Dub-Style auch einwandfrei auf Deutsch funktioniert.
Berlin Boom Orchestra klingt dabei wie… Berlin Boom Orchestra und das sollte man besser einfach gehört und gesehen haben.
