Berlin Boom Orchestra steht für modernen, tanzbaren Reggae jenseits des gängigen Klischees vom tiefenentspannten Feel-Good-Gedudel. Direkt aus den dreckigen Clubs der Hauptstadt trifft Fickfinger-Attitüde auf Lovers Rock, Pro-Homo auf knallharten Dancehall und kritische Theorie auf urbane Bassmusik. Die neunköpfige Kapelle um den Sänger Filou überzeugt eine seit 2006 stetig wachsende Fanbase davon, dass Rub-A-Dub-Style auch einwandfrei auf Deutsch funktioniert.
Berlin Boom Orchestra klingt dabei wie… Berlin Boom Orchestra und das sollte man besser einfach gehört und gesehen haben.
