Clive From Accounts has entered the meeting! A relative newcomer to the scene, his name may conjure mundane images of faxes, spreadsheets and dull chat by the water cooler, but Mr Clive has turned in a beau-tifully realized 4 tracker of slick deepness for his first outing on RNT Reserve.

From the epic crescendo of Tell Me, the lush and wistful vibe of Without Your Love, to the quirky sampled groove of the EP's title track, finishing with the icy late nite breaks-meets-bass thud of Yukon, this record is Strictly Business in-deed, and the best kind.

Ever since he could remember, Jon Dixon has had a passion for music. He began playing by ear at the age of four and has always enjoyed challenging himself by learning music in this manner. At the age of 15 he began reading and studying classical piano while enrolled at The High School For Fine and Performing Arts where he also studied jazz. Upon graduating he began performing with the Detroit Symphony Civic Jazz Orchestra under the direction of Detroit's own Godfather of jazz, the late Marcus Belgrave. While performing locally with this ensemble, he also attended Wayne State University where he studied jazz piano under Matt Michaels. As time went on, word of mouth began to spread about Dixon and his talents. While in college he accompanied The Mosaic Youth Theater of Detroit as an accompanist/bandleader for their productions and concerts as well as performing all over the city and state. Jon currently teaches multiple group piano classes at the Michigan State University Community Music School in Midtown Detroit. He has had the chance to also play for/with Chick Corea, Jeff Hamilton, Robert Hurst, Delfayo Marsalis, John Clayton, The Count Basie Orchestra, Marcus Belgrave, The Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Leon Ware, Eric Roberson, Dwele, Amp Fiddler and more over the past decade. Jon has had the opportunity to not only lead the Underground Resistance live acts Galaxy 2 Galaxy and Timeline, but has also performed with Interstellar Fugitives, Amp Fiddler, Jeff Mills, Mike Banks, Derrick May, Francesco Tristano, Carl Craig, Goldie and more. Dixon is one of the city's most sought-after musicians for every genre ranging from jazz to techno. He believes that the more versatile and open minded you are at your craft, the further it will take you. In 2015 he started an independent label, 4EVR 4WRD (Forever Forward) to focus on making electronic music fused with elements of jazz, hip-hop and other styles of music. "I feel that it is important for me as a musician to not only continue the rich culture and history of both jazz and electronic music but to also use my knowledge, theory and experience to combine the two and take both genres to the next level!"

September 9th Jon presents us a new label's instalment, "Vocal Sessions Vol.1". His latest EP is composed of two original deep house cuts featuring two of Detroit's finest vocalists, L'Renee and Kenny Watson, who bring their unique voices to Jon's masterful production, as well as an incredible remix by Jimpster and an edit by Jon under his MinorInvention alias.  Released on vinyl as well as digital, the digital version will include the Brixton remix as a bonus track. Expect nothing but the Detroit jazzy house style he's known for. This is hi-tech jazz at its finest!

Musical marvel Third Attempt returns to Beatservice with his latest audio offerings, serving the first of a series of dancefloor oriented releases with the irresistible four-tracker 'Trust In Theme'.

Torje Fagertun Spilde – better-known by his Third Attempt production moniker – has routinely amazed with his prolific output since emerging as a creative force a little over two years ago. Now a beloved Beatservice mainstay, the quality, scope and volume of work produced by the 25-year-old artist has seen his reputation soar at a rate that can only be described as meteoric.

The EP opens with the feel-good flex of 'Checking You Out'. Here, amorous vocals saunter over a sumptuous bed of infectious guitar, cinematic strings and driving bass before the dainty lead melody ushers the groove into a floor-focused breakdown. Next, Third Attempt illustrates his love of dusty-fingered sample manipulation on 'Teach Me', where smokey vocals drift across waves of twinkling keys, funk guitars and impactful horns as tightly-spun rhythm and bass guide the tempo.

'Turbo' continues the funk-flecked theme, with crisp drums driving mesmerising guitar licks, spacey synths and stirring chord progressions. Suspenseful strings and sensual vocals rise in as the evolving arrangement steadily unfolds, with the neatly woven music pitched perfectly to sound equally striking in disco-loving bars, clubs, and living rooms. Finally, 'Secret' completes the set in stunning style, with luscious chords, hypnotic guitar riffs and robust bass augmented by soul-drenched vocal stabs and atmospheric synth work.

'Trust In Theme' is every bit as cultured and coherent as we've come to expect from this talented young producer. Without a filler in sight, each track is destined for endless repeat plays, keeping audiences hungrily poised for the arrival of the next instalment in the series.
