It all happened pretty quickly for Alessandro and Federico Fognini. In 2011, after years of making music in one form or another, the two brothers formed a new DJ and production duo: Mind Against. Two years later they'd moved from Italy to Berlin and had their first record out on Life and Death (Atlant), with another two in the pipeline (Avalon and Strange Days). By then their DJ careers had taken off and they were playing somewhere in the world every weekend. It seems they made quite an impression on their audiences: last December, they debuted in our annual Top DJs poll all the way up at #33. 

Sometimes it's hard to say exactly why an act breaks through, but not with these guys. From the off, Mind Against had a signature sound that was immersive and completely their own: cosmic, emotionally rich and banging when it needs to be. RA.482 shows us an especially subtle side of their sound, with 58 minutes of techno that gently ebbs and flows. (Resident Advisor)

With the signing of Tale Of Us we added the shooting stars of the year to our festival‘s line-up. The Italian duo of Matteo and Karm has started to rewrite the rules of House Music about a year ago. Their mixture of House and Techno with dashes of Nu-Disco, Pop and even Rock elements is so impulsive and emotionally deep, that you will feel goosebumps all over your body. With their destinctive sound they are among THE Slo-Mo-house pioneers just next to the Wolf & Lamb family and Art Department. Meanwhile it has become almost a MUST to own a remix by them. Labels such as Kompakt, Life & Death, or Visionquest favour them as much as WhoMadeWho, DJ T., Thugfucker, GusGus and many more. We hope that Tale Of Us will continue to produce many more beautiful songs for us to enjoy and we really do look forward to a great set at FLY BerMuDa 2011.

Vom 2. – 5. November 2011 trifft sich zu den BERLIN MUSIC DAYS wieder einmal die nationale und internationale Crème de la Crème der elektronischen Musik in Berlin.

Nach erfolgreicher Einführung der Berlin Music Days in 2009 – kurz BerMuDa - wird Berlins einzigartiges Club-Festival der elektronischen Musik auch in 2011 wieder Clubber, Raver, Musiker, Labelmacher und Kulturtreibende der Musikszene aus aller Welt nach Berlin ziehen. In 2010 pilgerten bereits 40.000 Clubtouristen in die Metropole, um in 40 verschiedenen Locations mit über 100 DJs, Live-Acts und diversen Tagesveranstaltungen ein Happening rund um die elektronische Musik zu zelebrieren.

Die BERLIN MUSIC DAYS sind als unabhängiges Festival der elektronischen Musik klar positioniert und werden dabei von drei Säulen getragen.
Bei Tag präsentieren sich die BerMuDays und ihre Partner mit einem reichhaltigen Programm aus Workshops, Panels, Vorträgen, Diskussionsrunden, Ausstellungen und Fashionevents rund um die elektronische Musik und ihrer  Lebenskultur.
Bei Nacht bringen die BerMuNights die Tanzflächen der Stadt zum Beben. Label Nights, Showcases und Partyevents der Extraklasse in den angesagtesten Clubs und Locations der Stadt versprechen Highlights der besonderen Art für alle Nachtschwärmer und Musikenthusiasten.
Den krönenden Abschluss bildet am 5. November das Fly BerMuDa Festival am alten Flughafen Berlin Tempelhof. Nach einem erfolgreichen Start in 2010, bei dem sich über 10.000 Music Lovers aus dem In- und Ausland bis in die Morgenstunden, von so hochkarätigen Künstlern wie Paul Kalkbrenner, Sven Väth, Richie Hawtin, Booka Shade, Loco Dice u.v.m., mitreißen ließen, wird auch das Programm des Fly BerMuDa Festivals 2011 keine Wünsche offen lassen.

Initiatoren der Berlin Music Days sind die Macher des weltweit renommierten Watergate Clubs. Steffen Hack, Ulrich Wombacher und Niklas Eichstädt fanden dass es an der Zeit ist, ein authentisches Festival der elektronischen Musik da zu etablieren wo sie vorrangig geprägt wurde und wird, nämlich in den Berliner Clubs. Nicht umsonst ist sie Welthauptstadt der elektronischen Musik. Die Clubtouristen pilgern schon seit Jahren in Scharen nach Berlin. Zudem findet man hier so viele Künstler, Bookingagenturen und Labels wie nirgendwo sonst auf der Welt. Diese günstigen Faktoren gilt es zu nutzen, auch um Berlin als wirtschaftlichen Standort für Musik zu erhalten und zu etablieren, damit auch in den Folgejahren Berlin auf eine breite Kulturlandschaft bauen kann.

BerMuDa versteht sich als Festival und nicht als Fachmesse. Sie spricht ganz klar die Musikliebhaber an und soll ihnen in 4 Tagen zum einen die Möglichkeit geben das ganze Spektrum an elektronischer Musik in komprimierter Form zu zelebrieren und zum anderen  einen Eindruck von der Maschinerie hinter den Kulissen zubekommen. Aber auch die Macher der Szene haben die Möglichkeit sich in einem ungezwungenem Rahmen zu treffen und auszutauschen.

Langfristig soll BerMuDa weiterhin gesund wachsen und im gleichen Maße an Qualität und Umfang gewinnen. Dank des offenen Konzepts sind den Ideen kaum Grenzen gesetzt. Jeder ist willkommen und kann  auf verschiedene Weise ein Teil von BerMuDa werden. Von internationalen Label, Clubs und City-Showcases über Ausstellungen und Screenings bis hin zu Workshops ist alles möglich.
