Simstah from Bern Switzerland is one half of Drum&Bass production outfit Konfront.Audio which is featured on a number of international labels such as Flexout, Demand, Fokuz, Syndrome, Soul Deep and Citrus to name a few. Simstah started out Djing at the very early age of ten. After being hooked on Drum&Bass in 1996 he branched out into production in 2008 and is currently working on several different studio projects. Simstahs musical taste encompasses the broad spectrum of Drum&Bass, but he likes to work on the more down-tempo side of things as well. He landed his first solo-release on Structured music in 2015 and has releases on Blendits Audio, Jazzsticks, Flight Pattern, Dutty Audio, Syndrome Audio and Re:st . Apart from production Simstah is regularly playing at major Swiss Events such as Darkside at Dachstock Berne or Mute at Hive Zürich.

Joey Rez aka Rez is Los Angeles native Jungle / Drum & Bass DJ and Producer. He’s been djing since 1995. Producing since 2013. It was around this time that he joined the Breakbeat Cartel. A team of jungle/ drum and bass producers. All with their own unique sounds. You can find his releases on many true Jungle / Drum & Bass labels such as Monochrome Recordings, Danger Chamber, Sound So Fierce, Wicked Jungle Records, Yeska beatz Unltd. and others. Also Rez is a regular member of Jungle Beat Battles.

Dropping on the highly esteemed Architecture Recordings Imprint, legendary Drum & Bass producer Ink teams up again with cinematic artist Loomis along side soulful, powerful vocalist Kaybee to deliver the nostalgic ‘Resolution’.

Consisting of 4 mixes to inhabit the different corners of drum and bass, the original is a rolling soulful feast; with cinematic piano melodies and organic strings, infused with sweeping vocals, stabbed bass and growls to take you to the deepest melancholy, yet inspirited realms.

With a nod back to the early drum and bass days that have shaped the scene today, the Heritage mix infuses big emotive pads, multiple bass layers and stunning vocals, laid over driven breaks; delivering a punch and skirting from dark to light, with exactly the right balance of emotion and drive.

One for the DnB purists, the Nova Mix ticks the boxes for those that inhabit the darker corners of the dance floor; distorted, menacing amen rolls, moody pads, stabs and reversed piano moments, all underpinned by a dangerously dark bass and punchy subs. 

To finish off the release, we’re treated with a beautiful, beat-less cinematic outro which highlights the more melodic ingredients; with lush layered strings and emphasised bass crescendos, the Outro is the cherry on the cake of this quintessential drum and bass release.

The creative genius Parhelia makes a welcome return to Omni Music with a new EP of Antarctic inspired ambient drum and bass. Fjordvann sets the scene with pads that float effortlessly like icebergs as beats set sail across frozen seas. The EP continues with Antartica Explorations where chilled guitar and deep bass emerge out of the snowy landscape propelled forward by crisp beats and thunderous synths before Celsius-7 ups the pace with fluttering breakbeats, soaring strings and ice-breaking bass stabs. The EP ends on the serene Permafrost where a blizzard of pads engulf the listener and take them on a long poetic journey.
