I fell in love when I closed the top of the record player where the needle sat and magically music began to play. I came from a music loving family. Every weekend we had a house full of family and friends dancing and singing the words to the music. In the 70s I used two turntables with no mixer to play music. I thought that this was my idea. In the 80s I got introduced to a mixer and two turntables. I was in heaven!!! I spent hours in the music stores and I had to have two of everything on vinyl. I played music EVERY day. But, I never came out of the house. In the 90s I became DJ Love and I played private parties and small club venues. In the early 2000s I decided to hang up my dj hat to the dismay of many. Around 2016 someone decided that I should learn to play on a controller. My dj senses were reignited. I purchased the lowest priced controller to "play around with." Another brother came along and invited me to play on his radio station. Covid hit and I playing music became my happy place. In the latter part of last year brother invited me to play with his team. I invested in my reawakened dj career. I became DJ Sista Love. Now join me as I continue on my dj journey.
