The prolific artist Rafael Cerato lands on Sincopat with an energetic outstanding
EP  that  includes  an  avant-garde  remix  by  Italian  born  but  Spain  based  maestro
Bawrut.
Swag it's  like  a  roller  coaster  ride  that  masterfully  opens  the  EP,  the Bawrut's
remix brings it to a new level of conceptualism and space to enjoy, preferably to be
enjoyed with very loud speakers in a club. 
The Magic continues the journey with a strong indie flavour and superb vocals. 
Was  not  easy  to  select  the  order  of  the  tracks  on  this  release  and Ritual it  is
another good proof of that, pulsating percussive synths perfectly executed and a
great vocals by Thomas Gandey make of the track another bomb.
Rotor closes this timeless EP with a catchy melody that will be hard to get out of
your head once you listen.

PREMIERE > Rafael Cerato - Swag (Bawrut Remix)[SINCOPAT]

Duro is honored to present the birth of the “Baba” brotherhood. During the last pandemic year, Rina traveled from Tel Aviv to Portugal, where he met Switchdance. After some trips around the beautiful city of Lisbon, plates and plates of hummus and samosa, a visit to pick up raspberries at a field that used to be a medicinal cannabis farm and lots of hours in Switchdance's studio, 'Baba Music Vol. 1' was alive.

The journey initiates with the Portuguese version of "Give Way", a cut that narrates the moment when you are in a high state of mind and try to describe the process to get back to reality. For this version the duo worked with vocalist Abrão, where a deep and resonant bass, a synthesized voice, electric and acid melodies, and distant pads run through the space. It’s followed by the Hebrew version of "Give Away" where Rina takes control of the vocals. 

"Reak" means "empty" in Hebrew, the cut refers to a state of consciousness where there is nothing in the brain. Playful percussion, acid basslines mixed with digitally distorted synthesizers create the sensation of breaking out reality, an experience blended with algorithms, binary codes and atomized sounds where it is hard to distinguish the realness. A roar to all the Babas around the world to gather on the dance floor. 

To consummate the brotherhood with an embellishment, master Jonathan Kusama came up with two versions of "Give Way". The first one is a futuristic and dystopian dub masterpiece, with distorted bass lines, shady vocals and liquid percussion. For the second version Kusama brings up the energy and keeps the bass flickering and harsh, mixed with mind-bending and unhinged synthesizers.

We discovered this song through an instagram story of good friend, Belgrade's famous @kristijanmolnar and got immediately engaged to the sound and the vocal. Following the thread we found the artist behind Buba @milos-bulajic from Montenegro and agreed on to release this gem the proper way.

Neo-progressive rock / jazz fusion band EAST was a collective of open minded and talented musicians in the late 70's and 80's. Although the iron curtain and the peculiar heritage of socialist era in Eastern Europe they were able to tour around the world, and also put timeless and special records on the table.

“Agymosas” means “Brainwash” simply: the lyrics from 1983 sounds valid about the effect and power of marketing, especially when we think of the meta period which knocks on our doors already.

Three EPs on I’m a Cliché from 2012 and a bunch of EPs, tracks, remixes and edits on international imprints such as Correspondant, Relish, Days of Being Wild, Throne of Blood, Kill the DJ and more, made Red Axes gain respect throughout all the cold-ravers community. 

“Kicks Out of You EP” is their fourth EP with the Paris-based boutique I’m a Cliché. It is their last DJ-friendly record (both vinyl and digital) before the awaited release of their first LP entitled “Ballad of the Ice”. Three original tracks are included. They feature: a tune in Spanish in “Candela Viva”; some spoken word in “Kicks out of You” (courtesy of their Brazilian punk friend Abrão, the same who featured in their hit “Caminho de Dreyfus”); and finally some unexpected samba beats in beautiful “Too Late to Samba”.  

The reason why these two young guys born and raised in Israel should be that attracted to Latin America is like the reason why they should be so interested in German and French coldwave and other underground genres from the seventies and eighties: it shall remain a mystery. Red Axes are space and time travellers. However, what they send us from their trips is far from the typical postcard or the beach selfie. On the dancefloor, their sound plays with our craving for darkness, our sense of fun and our blue feelings; it frustrates and obsesses us. And thanks to their incredible technique, their passion for the past and the remote translates into something that belongs to right here and right now.

Red Axes - Too Late to Samba (from new EP "Kicks Out of You" OUT NOW)

Complaint Kulture is not about those tunes to fill gaps between bangers, but you already well noted this fact i think. @mulyamusic has two fresh and highly qualified songs to make you shine at the party, lets analyze them a bit to match the press text cliche expectations. 

The second installment of this EP is a kind of advanced meal from our chef; I never thought he will ever make something with flute samples and now you see. Kontra is not for beginners, but when you understand its deepness may become enough brave to give a try.

There's only one question left to finalize this thread; how many bomb tunes needs to be dropped to get a gig in Germany?!

Take what you do seriously, but don’t take life seriously… How we live it is ‘The Choice’ we all have to make. 
A bold statement against insular club culture, closed minds and lack of innovation, ‘The Choice’ continues Catz ‘N Dogz positive broadcasts with the help of Miss Bunty and three great friends on remix duties. Bunty instantly flips us back 25 years to a warehouse in New Jersey with a soulful, provocative sermon about the best things in life, people and places. She wraps herself tightly around a thumping, grainy jacking acid beat creating instant uplift, focus and a lesson we should all aspire to. 
Her powerful delivery works just as effectively over all remixes. Belgian Beton returns to Pets with a darker, rippling rhythm that drops its anchor in the timeless techno abyss while Bawrut continues the rich vein of form he’s developed on Ransom Note with a caustic frenzy of breaks, acid and raw, gut-wrenching sirens. Finally we have Soul Notes and Shall Not Fade affiliate Adryiano close the case. Laying down a bed of peppy organs, he creates a fittingly classic garage vibe for Bunty to sign out to.
