I must admit, I felt a bit of pressure on warm up duties, but it pushed me to craft a set that I hope resonated with the audience. Drawing inspiration from the unique soundscape of the night, I focused on creating an atmosphere with fat basslines and darker tones, all while keeping the essential tambors that are always present in my sets. My goal was to maintain a sense of movement and ensure everyone could still feel the rhythm, setting the stage for the melodic techno journey that Dom so masterfully led. Premiere: HBB - Get High - Pipe & Pochet

Let’s talk soundscapes.

A lot of club music ends up shaped by familiar expectations. Uniformed mixes, tidy structures, everything placed exactly where convention would put it.

And sure, that approach works… but it can also get a bit boring.

With Deep In Reflections, we wanted to move away from that and build something more immersive. Something that feels more like a place you step into. Dense synths and layered atmospheres blur together into a kind of drifting, enveloping haze.

At the centre is a single vocal sample pulled from an old TV ad. It cuts through the track like a small, forgotten memory, the one kind of recognisable sound in a world bathed in synths.

Most of the textures, the percussive elements, even the sense of rhythm, comes from atmospheres reshaped and repurposed until they become their own kind of instrumentation.

The result is something meant to surround you as you listen… It’s more about immersion than dance floor energy, a little headphone moment to get lost in.
