It was the year 1992.
The beginning of the still young Techno movement when this track appeared about more or less by chance in a mix session. A bit of Detroit, a bit of Berlin and definitely unusual. It was always one of our favourite tracks by old Master Westbam and so it was time for a complete renovation and new Release. Plus two remixes from old companions that couldn't be more different. Takkyu Ishino and his long-time studio colleague Takashi Watanabe deliver a minimalist techno stomper from Japan. Frank Muller brings a Beroshima mix somewhere between high-tech Disco and Detroit. All Trax have been mastered on Reel 2 Reel Tape.  A unique Record.

Both known for their countless releases and pioneer work for the global techno cosmos. 20 years ago Takkyu and Frank came together in Berlin for the Love Parade and released LOVETRAIN on a Warner Music Sublabel called Silly Spider.
This Vibe is returning to Berlin and the “lost “ release will be available again end of april via all channels. Lovetrain and its Remixes were not available for nearly 18 Years. Newly mastered by Sultana engineering and with a brand new Techno remix by DARBINYAN from Armenia plus the remixes from MISS KITTIN, LATEX and Gigolo Label Artist STERIL. While Miss Kittin keeps the Rave Vibe up the Steril Mix sounds almost like a reminiscence to New Romantic New Wave.

ulrich schnauss comes with a gorgeous techhouse mix. you all must have heard of tigerskin and his well crafted music. this outstanding producers comes with a classic floorstomper american style. the funkdvoid mix is still one of my all time favourites next to beroshimas skyflyer. and now finally back on its origin label muller records !

In original form his single ‘Hexaline’ is an intense and driving bit of techno with majestic synth patterns that light up the whole track as they dance up and down the scale whilst the slick drums power on below. It’s a terrific techno cut for the peak of the night to get hands in the air, with a powerful sound courtesy of Ulrich Schnauss’ masterful mixdown.
Hiroshi Watanabe then steps up to remix after strong outings on labels like Transmat earlier in the year. He is one of Japan’s leading electronic producers on labels likes Mule, King Street Sounds and Kompakt and here he totally reworks the track into a nine minute techno symphony with icy drums doing a restless dance as swirling pads bring a cosmic feel. It’s epic, elegant techno that takes you on a real trip.
The next remix is from A.Mochi, one of Len Faki’s key label associates on Figure and someone with a live PA and DJ set that leaves you spellbound. From CLR to Mote-Evolver he has released on the best contemporary techno labels and played at places like Berghain so is an unquestionably vital artist. His excellent rework is deep, slow burning and hugely atmospheric, with pensive pads and tender one-finger synth notes ringing out into the sky.

Excellent opener ‘Encounter’ reflects a recent idea to produce tracks for a not yet produced sci-fi movie. It is an eight-minute astral techno trip with smooth, driving drums and plenty of intergalactic synth lines. ‘The Passion of Lovers’ transfers the organic Beroshima style into 2018 and shows off Frank’s passion for spaced out electronica. It’s a brilliantly bumping cut with lithe synths and melodies adding that soul and colour as it races through the galaxies.
The iconic ‘Buy Some’ with the Atkins sample then surges into the future with icy hi hats dancing over rubbery drums. The warped synths take the lead and bring a real sense of off kilter energy to this most timeless bit of techno. Last of all is the fantastic Space Mix of ‘Encounter’ which is dreamy and cinematic with exquisite keys and pads colouring in a huge night sky as the drums drive things along.
This is an archetypal techno EP filled with cosmic colours and serene emotions.

It happens sometimes that a certain release slips through our maze, and when it does, we usually turn our heads to those other crates of tuneage we will be reviewing for you. But not this time. Beroshima's Moonraker's is one of those EP's we forgot to include in the batch, and we sincerely apology for not informing you about this hottie! Moonraker has become an EP that is among the best house music has brought us this year.
First one off is the Original House Mix, which is a deliciously nasty reflection of the outfit's sinister electrohouse sound. The rather minimal introduction is soon enough spiced up with a clash of synths that sound industrial and melancholic at the same time, thereby creating a dreamy and utterly brilliant vibe as spacey as spacey can be. The whole track basically revolves around this big synth wave that keeps on evolving throughout the sequence, with enough variation to keep the attention. It's proggy, it's electro, it's on the edge of deep house too, but above all, it's absolutely amazing.

Cosmonaut takes the original to new dimensions with an equally deep and highly mesmerizing blend of intense synths and waves while the beats take care of a hypnotizing dance-floor rhythm. The synths keep on transforming throughout the track by which the overall becomes a bluesy but beautiful piece of house music. A bit James Holden-style, and close to perfection.
America takes care of the final remix with a more uptempo and more towards progressive club rocker featuring brilliantly sampled vox, shifting synths and lots of deep sound waves. Whereas the previous two tunes engage on a hypnotic trip, this one shoots the listener even further beyond the stars right into the unknown depths of space. The uptempo rhythm is what makes this track an absolute insane piece of progressive/deep house music, and therefore a definite must-have.
I cannot label this EP anything else that absolutely fantastic. All three tracks are simply brilliant, reflecting nothing but love for music and pure talent from those who produced them. The original and the Cosmonaut mix are both midtempo floorfilling tunes one can only dream off, with the America remix skyrocketing the track right into the orbit of perfection. You simply can not afford to let this EP pass you by. 365Mag's absolute number one EP of this Autumn, and unlikely to be bettered this year.
