One of the last nsfs I wrote using ppmck before finally switching to famitracker. I was really bad at being data efficient so inevitably I'd run out of bank space within a minute or so, resulting in short loops like this one.

Chiptune Song : Eye's Touch

Working my way through the third Elancia book and novel, I realized I needed to take another look at Verse's theme (both the skirmish and cute arrangements!) due to how much her character has evolved by this point. This theme is more fitting of Verse when she finally begins to "bloom." She's been a little flowerbud for the first two books, but it's time to spread her little flowery foxy wings.

This track is a musical exploration of anxiety in all of its forms. The auditory hallucinations and heartbeats resonating in the chest as musical elements. The instability and vulnerability during the peak of a meltdown. Vision zooming in and out. The bittersweet mixture of emotions. There's angst and regret, but also a touch of warmth from childhood flashbacks. Most importantly, the beauty that can be found in all of it.

Most of the instrumentation (leads, arps, percussion, bass) is done using exported stems from 0cc-Famitracker, supported by piano, pad synths and live violin recordings.
