This is my first track working with my new hardware synth, the Arturia Microfreak! It's my second major synth purchase, and it has lots of interesting routing capabilities(a bit of a semi-modular design based around a digital matrix system). I know I'm barely scratching the surface with it on this track, which also features the trusty minilogue xd and lots of vst instruments such as the Animoog Z and the Arp Odyssey.

This is my first collaboration with Clive / @winkandwoo 
We decided to make a song after he commented on the artwork for another one of my tracks (Metaplasticity) where he said it looked like a 'chewing gum sea'. I suggested it was a great song name so went for it. I am super happy with the results, hope you'll enjoy it too!

Rien d'extravagant. Juste joué en 2018 sur une guitare 5 cordes (6 dont il en manque 1), debout dans la cuisine par un jour de pluie avant de sortir... puis retouché un tantinet sur Audacity en 2023, c'est à dire hier. A la recherche du son imparfait qui nous plaît.

Et comme on aime l'aventure on le rejouera si possible en mieux à la 6 cordes tantôt pour faire la version qu'on espère finale ou proche de la finalité. D'où la version II-III ici.

Mini-Wreck en Ré inachevé II-III (Impro 2018 feat 2023)

The Smoking Trout collaborative's Quest for the Holy Dumpling, episode 7 finds our traveling band of protagonists hitting on some good luck after we left them 'out of food and out of gas' at the end of the last installment of our work-in-progress concept album.

On this one, I came up with a beat and synth score as step 1. Then Jeff added some fantastic vocals and Stephen brought in a killer guitar groove. We always have tons of fun making these, hope you will enjoy listening as well!
