Now it’s time to share a recording by @eszaid-377145560, an artist from un Avignon who has been very inspiring of late. 

Persistently structured, yet hardly legible. This is a story where time is told in the warp of  shadows and the length of reflections.

The next Dekmantel mix is a wild melting pot of dark, murky techno grooves by @mattikk. A pillar of the Amsterdam underground, the Garage Noord resident has a long history of DJing in the city and is closely connected to your favorite techno labels. He’s the mind behind Delsin Records' Mantis series, collaborating with artists like Forest Drive West, Konduku, Lemna, and Dino Sabatini.

Drawing on UK sound system culture, his selections always carry an experimental edge, whether diving into deep Italian techno or ambient. Usually, he crafts mixes for immersive listening pleasure, but here he makes a rare turn to the dance floor, inspired by his closing set on the UFO2 stage at last year's Dekmantel Festival. Over an hour of powerful, driving grooves and subtle details, sprinkled with new tunes and some personal favorites that span low-end-heavy electro and broken beats.

“i took your invitation as an opportunity to do something i hadn’t really done before in a podcast — play something a bit more dancefloor-oriented. i actually rarely play at this bpm range, and i thought it was interesting to explore that side.” lyon-based dj and producer minù jr leans into his techno influences from ghost warrior to dvs1 and wata igarashi to build a groove-filled, textural peak-time mix filled with warmth. 

minù jr is deeply embedded within the music scene in lyon. from being a resident of the collective and record label monochrome as well as ouroboros festival - two key outputs of the city’s low end psychedelia scene. as a producer, minù jr’s sound is nestled nicely within the slow/fast side of psychedelic music as he creates these deeply rhythmic wormholes to get lost in that are filled with dub and drum & bass influences such as the qabam ep on monochrome ~ a release i can’t get enough of. super inspired by his output and this movement that’s happening in lyon, i’m excited to have minù jr on the 909 series this week :)

Ramble is the debut LP on vinyl from electronic musician Sebastiano Carghini. An
ambient-no-ambient journey, his sound art unfolds like a fractured memory loop - 
where degraded tape hiss, layered textures, drifting echoes, and minimalist pulses
dissolve into a liminal, ever-shifting landscape of sonic perception. It is released by
adventurous electronic music label topo2 on July 25, 2025. The record is pressed on 180
grams of ICCS-certified minty-ice colored bio-vinyl, housed in a heavy full-colour
sleeve, and comes with a download-code to the full release. Mastering is done by Ike
Zwanikken, artwork by courtesy of Tjobo Kho, and poetry written by Eelco Couvreur.

"this mix is a late summer, abstract downtempo selection. It is a fairly restrained and delicate flow, with luminous and hazy qualities."

berlin-based, italy-born dj & producer notte infinita graces the 909 series this week with a session that glistens and glows. starting with the dreamy downtempo soundscapes of kincaid, konduku, and joe caven, the mix leans on insect-like drums and synths that sound like mating calls in the night before moving into more introspective and darker moods. it’s a session made to soundtrack hazy early mornings whilst you melt away in your surroundings, soaking everything in. 

notte infinita is one of my go to producers. his remix of big hand’s ‘girde maye / astere’ has been on repeat ever since it was released ~ it’s a challenge in of itself to not include it in every set or mix i play. it has that dreamy, hazy quality that you will find in his 909 mix with a loopy vocal to get lost in. with a strong affinity to soundsystem culture and sound design, notte infinita’s productions can go from the slippery dancehall mutations that are found on his manila killer float / slippery ruff ep to epic world building as found on hi-tech roller remix of priori’s pareidolia. there’s also further notable releases on in:dex and oscilla sound.

Amsterdam's cult producer and DJ Steven van Hulle a.k.a. Awanto 3 likes his samples vibrant, his drums wobbly and his synths sweaty as a summer breeze. The MPC wizard returns to Dekmantel delivering a new club cut bursting with wonderful weirdness and a very special surprise. 

For some of you 'Pregnant' may sound familiar. Due to popular demand, we have decided to reissue this 12:42 stomper that was part of Dekmantel's Anniversary Series back in 2012. Don't be a fool and pay silly Discogs prices. We've fully remastered the 2012 version, so make sure you get this baby second time around. 'Pregnant' continuously builds around a vocal that keeps you locked in, while the carefully constructed synth progressions showcase van Hulle’s keen ear for melody. Fire on the floor guaranteed.

On the flip, van Hulle serves-up a fresh cut. 'Star Butchers' is a jazzy deep house gem, that's most likely to end up in the bag of people who admired 'Pregnant'. The bonus 'Darling Edit' of 'Star Butchers', is on the deep and dramatic side of things, and easily equally as good. The track is a co-production between Awanto 3 and the mysterious but talented Darling on keys.
