AŬSKULTI is a collaborative project curated by Johano Nadabindu from the TUTMONDA sound label. Its main focus is to unite musicians from all over, showcasing their talent, language, and creativity on tracks that are primarily improvised.
CHANCE is the second release of a group of collaborative tracks that combines recordings made in person and at a distance.

Process:
Johano recorded a guitar track, and then a djembe track. Sent the stems to Henry, who incredibly gave life to what was a draft, and created a multi track universe of textures and sounds. He added bass, saxophone, vocals, bells, tibetan bowls and kotamo, giving CHANCE a chance to became an entire different sonic spell. Henry sent the STEMS back, and Johano mixed them.

Paulo Chagas and I have made a number of internet collaborative albums together.
So when he said, let’s invite Henry Koek to join us, I did not fully know what would happen.

Henry Koek writes cosmic poems and makes shaman sounding percussive music,
so to our pleasure,….that is what blended into our mixes.

We invite you to partake with our poems set with music, and three instrumentals,
with a shaman inspired tone with all of our pieces. Please hear the music, like and comment!

This first album preview piece for commenting is based on a poem that Henry Koek wrote.

We invite you to hear the 2nd of three album preview pieces.

“Practical guide to shamanism for young people”,
Is from the album “Above a Darkness of Earth.”

Paulo Chagas initiated this trio piece with his wind instrument part. Henry Koek added many sound textures in addition to his voice, I finished with percussion and my MaaTeeSaa1 sounds.

This piece continues the shamanist inspired tone of the album.

Sort of a rebuild of an old track. "Sern." was put together pretty quickly in 2016 and has a lot of nostalgic merit to me. I wanted to give this track another pass, so I """found""" the version of FL11 that this project file was made with, trimmed it up, and added a new section to it. The staticy percussion is new, as for some reason I cannot find the original sample I used for the drumtrak despite using it in dozens of sketches. I kinda hate the timbre of Fruity Reeverb anyways so there had to be an overhaul done there no matter what.

This'll go on the next album with a few more passes done to it but I love this take right now.
