This is the Barroom Roses as recorded in my yurt sometime in the fall of 2012 I think. We had a week to get it up to Anchorage to be part of a compilation. By the time we had every one recorded, I only had a few hours before deadline to mix it, and send it up the road. I never felt good about it. After a couple of albums on my own, some new gear, and some spare time, I've gone and remixed and remastered it. It may need another go 'round. Is the bassist too loud? ;P

Winter

classic one man band scenario: drummer plays bass and guitar and owns a 4 track, starts writing songs when he's 15. in 17 years he's recorded to 4 track, 8 track, 16 track and protools; his own engineer and producer, and usually some one else's gear. the songs come from no where, a heart, a lie, a wish, a story, a biography, a biopsy, everywhere. the means of conveyance is rock and roll. and sometimes folky ballads.
