Closing Set - 05.03.2022 @ Fabric London

Chris aka @chris-scott-269 is a long time and avid clubber, music collector and DJ.

Chris has been running the music page and podcast series Bound In Sound @bound_in_sound for the last 5 years. It has been been a successful series of underground, dark disco, chuggy, slo-mo electronic music with several respected underground DJ’s / Producers contributing. Including the likes of Timothy Clerkin, Robot Scientists, Attendances, Mufti, Birds, BT-Cop and Alice Palace and many more.
 
Since setting up the podcast series and Bound In Sound Page Chris has been joined by good friend, music collector, producer and DJ - Howie.
 
And so the official Edinburgh Collective Bound In Sound was born, we started having regular events pre-lockdown. Since the Covid restrictions took hold we diversified into radio and hosted a show on London based Grafitti Kings Radio on a Monday Night called ‘The Pitch Down’ containing similar acts to those above but with the emphasis on sub 110 bpm sounds. Anything from balearic, dub, ambient, experimental and funky deep house. This was a great success.
 
We also ran a very succesful Saturday night slot on Vault Radio for the best part of a year. A show where we stretched the genre boundaries a little more with anything goes above 110 bpm.. We have had anything from disco, deep house, tech house, techno, indie electronica and experimental.
 
Then in 2020 our Cowbell radio show took hold and continues today and we have a monthly slot and the monthly club B O U N D at Edinburgh's Mash House.

The great thing is, it's unusual. A restaurant, a bar and a meeting place for people starting out in the nightlife. People talk, clink glasses and dress up nicely. Stunning evening dresses worn by models meet the casual Glockenbach hipster who carries his wallet in a shoulder bag. And maybe his cell phone. 
Filmmakers, actors and creative minds are all on hand here. Once there was a curious guest who often asked me for IDs and was very interested in my mix. I was happy to provide information and later found out that it was a member of Coldcut. I was speechless with joy.
René Vaitl from Worldleague and the boss of the Pacha Club are always happy about my wildstyle mix and enjoy the evening with champagne, as is customary in Munich.
The building is imposing, a historical monument with meter-high statues and magnificent halls like in royal times.
