I saw it in the paper, so maybe it happened last night
Some baby got herself born in the first car on a W train
She found a stranger to help her out

You used to mostly like it, unless we’d had a rough night 
Then you’d cry like the baby in the first car on the W train , 
Til a stranger   would help you out 
He would smile like it's all gonna be alright 
Til you'd Smile, like we're all gonna  gonna be alright

So if you see a baby on a subway train this morning 
If you see a mother who needs a little help some night 
If you see somebody who used to be a baby in the first car on the W train, be a stranger,  help ‘em out
