Artesian Sounds is back after a two-year rest, announcing Scissorwork’s new EP ‘Identity Crisis’. Giving a nod to his efforts at knitting together different sounds and genres into a coherent whole, ‘Identity Crisis’ comprises three stylistically distinct tracks shot through with the Bristol producer’s signature stylings. Moving forward from his earlier forays into lo-fi, Scissorwork presents a collage of influences spanning house, electro and broken-beat.

The opener ‘A Hundred Years’ is a summery earworm featuring cascading synth lines and a catchy vocal hook meandering over a guitar loop, comped with delicate touches on the Rhodes in quieter moments.

An aurora also refers to a natural light display in the Earth's sky called the aurora polaris, or polar lights, visible only in high-latitude regions like the North and South Poles

Wait a second? What was that? Hold Up? Hold On? The time was fading faster than ever and the rush was on: the black hole would swallow the galaxy up in a vacuum and they would cease to remain. The fight was on to escape the doom of the abyss. The end was nigh. The fury would rise, the end was nigh.

On the flip side, Pascal Viscardi from Geneva goes deep with an heavy kick on this highlighted track "Fuorigrotta", followed by "I Did This At Work" a tasty house track with an efficient bassline and subtle samples produced by french guy Malouane, G2S & Ibn Sabaa also from France close the release with an abstract hip hop joint! Coming out in mid-September!
