YAI is an emergent Tokyo-based DJ with a distinctive approach when blending different techno’s sub-genres with breakbeats and harddance. All this while driving a variety of emotions and energies on the dance floor. 

In her trajectory, she performed in recognized clubs such as VENT, Circus Tokyo, WALL&WALL, Contact, or Aoyama-HACHI. She also played alongside artists such as Answer Code Request and Marco Shuttle, and was part of club nights as Synthesis in Berlin.

Starring broken rhythms, this work is composed of four cuts in which the artist has used a hybrid synthesis method between the analogue and the digital world, to give free rein to a less conventional introspective and dark style. Here, he will depart from the arrangement and bass drum patterns most commonly adopted by him, to try to evoke industrial, gloomy and deeper spaces. A lover of broken rhythms, he dares to produce in this key to experiment on that frontier.

It’s been a whole year, and I’m back with a new track that captures everything I’ve felt during this time
The vocals are by a guy who’s inspired me since 2018 when I first heard him. I used to make trap metal beats but eventually moved away from that. Still, I never stopped listening to Gizmo — he’s the artist I play the most on SoundCloud to this day
Maybe this track isn’t super danceable, but that’s not really my focus anymore
From now on, things are gonna get heavier. I’m not sticking to one genre , but the sound will definitely be heavier than before
