The change from autumn to winter has a special atmosphere. The memories of happy days in summer still carry longing, and winter carries the certainty of transience. In his poem "Les Feuilles mortes" Jacques Prévert had captured this special mood in wonderful words, to which Joseph Kosma composes his music as a chanson. Yves Montand and Edith Piaf were among the most famous performers before Johnny Mercer translated the French poem into English and the song became a great international success and a jazz standard. Many great performers like Nat King Cole, Eric Clapton or Eva Cassidy have published their own versions.

For us, it was an experiment in a genre we were not really at home in. We also didn't want to interpret it too sadly. Because there can also be something upbeat and liberating in this particular mood. Because even when the old fades away, we can await the new with joy. Autumn is a beautiful season of transition, and this great song carries this mood like no other.

Music is medicine and therapy. Especially in these difficult times, we should sing more together. That's what this song is about. Singing helps.

Both Sides Now, a cover of the great song written by Joni Mitchell. Our project is to interpret great songs that touch the heart and soul in our own way. „Both Sides Now“ touches heart, soul and spirit. Joni Mitchell was known to us but only this year we rediscovered her music and lyrics in their depth, meaning and beauty. It was immediately clear to us, we have to add our own version to the over 1,500 cover versions of Both Sides Now.

The Book of Love is a touching song full of affection and hope. Written by Stephin Merrit for his band Magnetic Fields, the song became known through a cover version by Peter Gabriel. We tried to create our very own version of this beautiful song.

We produced The Book of Love for Christmas because the song fits Christmas and has a Christmas spirit – especially in these difficult times of the pandemic.

Maybe we should all read a little more in the book of love.

We will donate our revenue from this production to musicians in need. We know these revenues will not be great. We see it more as a symbol.
